Exclusive: JoJo Siwa is getting into business with Pure Imagination Studios. They’ve entered into a deal under which Pure Imagination will develop film and television projects based on Xomg Pop!, the all-girl pop group hand picked by JoJo and her mother, entrepreneur and business partner Jessalynn Siwa.
Their first project is an animated children’s series “that will follow the six-person group as they tour the known and the unknown universe in a magical, mysterious tour bus to play songs that celebrate that girls can be whatever they want to be and there’s no right way to be a girl,” according to the official description.
The studio will kick off the development with animated content that will launch on Tik-Tok as the full-blown series is in development.

Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee may be gone but he’s still amazing – and he’s still a kid at heart, too, inside the animated world of The Amazing Stan, a posthumous project that will be announced today at Comic-Con International in San Diego.
Pure Imagination Studios and Pow! Entertainment have partnered on the project which envisions the world as it would be seen through the eyes of Lee as a modern-day youngster. The character is a “constant dreamer” and he and his friends “learn to take risks, explore new ideas, and never ever give up.”
Writer Scott Peterson is developing the show based on the concept by Pure Imagination’s Chief Content Officer, John P. Roberts, and Sanjee Gupta.

Back in January it was announced that Warner Bros., following their purchase of Midway – the creators of the original Mortal Kombat video game, were working on a Mortal Kombat reboot, and had tapped scribe Oren Eziel to pen the script. Then in February it was reported that Larry Kasanoff and his production company Threshold Entertainment had filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit, stating that Warner Bros has “failed to work with Threshold in the development and production of the third Mortal Kombat film.”

I cannot be the only one who has come to the conclusion that Madame Tussaud’s is perhaps the closest thing to hell on earth that can be experienced. It’s like some sort of unholy shrine to the union of snakes that are consumerism and celebrity, filled with people who consider photographing themselves with eerie, dead-eyed sculptures of famous people such a great idea for a day out that they are prepared to not only pay top-dollar for the privilege, but to cram themselves into the tiny corridors of the building like so much cattle awaiting the bolt through the hypothalamus, where the ethos of anti-establishment icons like Pink Floyd and The Sex Pistols are available to purchase in fridge magnet form for £2.50. My annoyance with the place began when my breakfast of over-priced and disgusting meatball Panini was interrupted by several thousand school children (each sporting an Oxford University hooded top,...
