Simon Pegg has blasted an X Factor act, asking who scripted Saturday night’s show.
The 40 year old Shaun Of The Dead star was watching Peter, 37, and Caroline, 21 as they explained to Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Geri Halliwell and Cheryl Cole that their name, G&S, stands for Gay and Straight.
Peter was rubbish and couldn’t hold a tune, but the judges quite enjoyed Caroline’s vocals and made her audition again alone.
After they tried out, Pegg wrote on Twitter:
“Only caught a bit of X Factor but I very much enjoyed the story of the double act, G-ood and S-***. Who writes the scripts?”

Street dance group and best friends Peridot make their Britain’s Got Talent return tomorrow night and hope that this time, they can win the competition and change their lives.
Peridot featured in a 30 second snippet of the ITV show in 2009 and made it past the first round of auditions, however they failed to make it as far as the live rounds.
On tomorrow night’s episode they tell the cameras:
‘We are a dance group, South London based. We started dancing just as friends but now it feels like we’re just a big family now. Dance changed a lot of our lives. I lived on an estate, there was nothing to do, I saw a dance class so I started going there. I didn’t come home just to start hanging round on the estate after school.’
‘As individuals we’ve all got different stuff that we do during the week.

16 year old Josh Barry took to the Britain’s Got Talent stage on tonight’s show and wowed the crowd (especially the girls!) with his rendition of ‘My Girl.’
He told Ant and Dec:
‘My name’s Josh, I’m 16 years old and I’m a student. Today’s audition is the biggest thing that’s ever happened to me. It’s quite nerve wracking, I’m nervous that Simon’s going to say something really bad.’
He went on to tell the judging panel:
“I want to be a professional singer. I just want to sing in front of people really.’
As Josh started to sing you could almost feel the rush of teenage hormones from the girls in the crowd, but we found the song choice a little old fashioned and possibly irrelevant in this day and age.
Judges Comments:
Amanda – You were confident, you were a showman and you delivered.

James Boyd returns to our screens tomorrow night, after failing to impress the Britain’s Got Talent judges last year. The 34 year old Scottish man attempted and failed to break the Guinness World Record for eating Ferreo Rochers in 2009. The record stood at a measly seven, but during his audition James only managed to eat four.
“This year I’m back to prove to the judges and the audience that I’m not a failure and I intend to break the Guinness World Record for eating After Eights. The record is 8 mints eaten in one minute without using your hands, I intend to do 9.” James tells Ant & Dec.
“I have been practising for the last 7 months, I’ve eaten between 20-30 boxes of After Eights,” he added.
“Simon said last year, the act is not suitable for Royalty, today I will prove him wrong.”
James walks out on stage, the judges remember him.

Simon – “I have never seen anything like that in my life. I thought that once again we were going to get some really boring gymnastics display but that was very clever, really, really smart.”
Amanda – “It was absolutely faultless. Some of the stuff that was going on I didn’t think was humanly possible. Outstanding. Absolutely incredible, incredible.”
Piers – “You had the whole theatre going crazy.”

On tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent Sinead tries to impress the judges with her individuality, but leaves them baffled by her act.
For her Bgt audition Sinead took to the Manchester stage carrying a guitar and a pogo stick.
Piers Morgan asked her: “Can I ask you what made you decide to take this up?”
Sinead replied: “Cos in this competition you’ve got to stand out from the crowd and this [act] certainly does.”
But Sinead failed to impress Simon Cowell….he blasted her saying:
“That was just stupid”

Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan will find something to smile about on tomorrow night’s Britain’s Got Talent……that pair always did have a penchant for the half naked ladies!
Auditioning in Manchester, Tia is a singing fire performer. After stripping to the waist and getting the boys hot under the collar, she begins to sing Kasabian’s Fire whilst running naked flames across her body…
Judges Comments:
Amanda Holden – “It’s always good to learn new skills girls, isn’t it? And that is a brilliant new way of hair removal on the legs, I thought.”
Piers Morgan – “The question always is, would we like to see more of an act? And I suppose the answer is I would.”
Simon Cowell – “I loved it. I like the whole idea of being on fire and singing at the same time.”
Amanda Holden– “You two are shameless!”

Simon Cowell’s Britain’s Got Talent is set to make a whopping £10,000 per second during it’s 2010 series.
ITV bosses are said to be charging £300,000 for a 30 second slot during the final show, with similar length ads in the audition shows selling for £100,000.
Revealing that the series could rake in around £75 million throughout April and May, a source told The Mirror:
“When you have audiences of up to 20 million, it’s an ad man’s dream. There is no secret Cowell has the Midas touch and it seems he has turned the show into pure gold for ITV.”
One buyer said: “The question on everyone’s lips is whether the show will find another Susan Boyle this year. Last year’s final was selling at £250,000 at the height of the recession. ITV know they have a hit and are going to milk it.”

Kieron Gaffney makes his return to the show with mum and dad in tow
Britain’s Got Talent star Kieran Gaffney has admitted that he is terrified of being cut by the judging panel again, before he reaches the live semi finals of the series.
Last year Kieran got three yeses after he impressed the judges with his drumming prowess, however he was dropped before he could perform again on the live shows.
Kieran told The Sun:
“I felt devastated when I didn’t get through last year.
“Anyone that came to me to say sorry, I just went, ‘Oh, don’t talk to me.’ I don’t want to go through that again.”
Returning this year with his mum and dad, Kieran got through by the skin of his teeth after Simon Cowell allowed him to do a second solo audition.
Kieran added: “I feel a bit sorry for my parents,...

Young Chloe Hickinbottom impresses with Vera Lynn song
Ten year old Chloe Hickinbottom wowed the Britain’s Got Talent judges tonight, with her amazing rendition of Vera Lynn’s classic ‘The White Cliffs Of Dover.’
The panel were surprised that the schoolgirl didn’t chose a Britney Spears or Lady Gaga song but Chloe, from Wolverhampton, told The News Of The World:
“I saw Vera on YouTube singing to troops. All my friends like pop songs but I like old songs.”
93 year old Dame Vera has since insisted that Chloe was too young to sing her song, saying that she couldn’t possibly understand the poignancy or meaning of the lyrics.

Kieron Gaffney makes his return to the show with mum and dad in tow
Kieran Gaffney – the drummer boy from last year’s Britain’s Got Talent – returned tonight with a band. His parents and it looked like Mrs Gaffney stopped off at Ann Summers for her stage costume. Now called ‘Mixed Emotions’, the family trio completely lacked the magic of the kid drumming solo. The mum couldn’t sing, they kept stopping every time they were buzzed and it was a great day for music when this band split.
Simon Cowell blasted:
‘I’ve got to be honest, the act like this is utterly atrocious!’
Piers Morgan added:
‘I was really, really disappointed! You’re the talent not your mum, no disrespect to her.’
Luckily, after the sad sad music played in the background, Simon took pity on Kieran and allowed him to return for a solo audition. With...

Little Chloe Hickinbottom wants to use the Britain’s Got Talent prize money to buy a lifetime supply of leggings and jeggings from Primark. You go, girl! She baffles everybody born in the last 60 years by choosing to sing a Vera Lynn song, which by the way Dame Lynn has now insisted that she was too young to sing!
We had a sudden urge to ‘ave a street party, guv. Postwar spirit is alive! Great vocals though. All she needs is a “scratchy record” sound effect for added authenticity.
After she sang Amanda Holden gushed:
‘I definitely wasn’t expecting that! You have a beautifully old fashioned voice!’
Louis Walsh (who was standing in for a sick Simon Cowell) added:
‘You were born to sing! I think you’re fantastic, you could sell records. The best today so far!’
Piers Morgan added:
“You have an extraordinary voice, “I’ve never heard anything like that.

Young Chloe Hickinbottom impresses with Vera Lynn song
‘The Forces Sweetheart’ Dame Vera Lynn has claimed that ten year old Chloe Hickinbottom is too young to sing her song ‘The White Cliffs Of Dover.’
Schoolgirl Chloe will be seen stunning the Britain’s Got Talent judges tonight with the classic 1940’s track, however Lynn claims that a child so young couldn’t possibly capture the ‘passion and conviction’ needed for the song.
Dame Vera, 93, told The Mirror:
“It’s a big ask for her, because she simply won’t understand the meaning of the lyrics.
“The song’s words meant so much to my generation, which is why it has to be performed with a passion and conviction that a 10-year-old, however talented, simply cannot be expected to embrace, or fully understand.”
She added:

This Saturday’s Britain’s Got Talent will showcase a number of talented youngsters. We have already told you about Chloe Hickinbottom and Kieron Gaffney but also auditioning is 11 year old dancer Josh Warner Campbell.
Before starting his excellent body popping routine the judges ask Josh: “Are you good?”
“Too good!” he replies.
After Josh performs, Piers Morgan brands him a ‘cocky little devil,’ while Simon Cowell laughs:
‘I see a lot of myself in you!’

13 year old drummer boy Kieron Gaffney makes his return to Britain’s Got Talent this Saturday night.
The teenager auditioned for last year’s series of the show and though he made it past the audition stage, the judges decided not to put him through to the live semi-finals.
This year Kieron decided not to brave the stage alone and brought his guitar playing dad and singing mum along for support. The family formed ‘Mixed Emotions’ and Amanda Holden was delighted to see Kieron back. She gushed:
“I have never got so many texts from people telling me off for not putting you through. You were unbelievable.”
The three piece group embarked on their rendition of the Motown hit, Do You Love Me, with Kieron’s mum dressed in what looked like Ann Summers’ best basque and stockings. The performance was terrible and led Simon Cowell to blast:

Ten year old Chloe Hickinbottom took the Britain’s Got Talent judges by surprise this year, when she showed up to the Birmingham auditions and wowed them with an emotional rendition of an old Vera Lynn number.
After admitting that she doesn’t like the judges buzzers and that if she won she would spend the £100,000 prize money on tutus and leggings from Primark, Chloe gave a beautiful vocal performance of ‘The White Cliffs Of Dover.’
After she sang Amanda Holden gushed:

Simon Cowell has previously said that he wants a dog to win this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent and we think that he had dancing dog Chandi in mind.
The talented pooch was rescued from the pound by her owner Tina Humphrey at just four months old and has before competed in Crufts and on BBC TV show ‘When Will I Be Famous.’ We do find it a bit strange that Chandi’s owner Tina professes to be a music teacher but doesn’t mention the fact that she is one of the UK’s most experienced dog trainers!
The pair danced at a ballet bar for their Talent audition, joined together to do the conga and Chandi even held a broomstick for her owner as she span around her. The canine act impressed the judging panel with Piers Morgan exclaiming:
