Framestore has tapped “Top Gun: Maverick” VFX supervisor Ryan Tudhope as one of its newest creative director.
Tudhope, who is a member of the Television Academy and AMPAS, co-founded VFX studio Atomic Fiction, where he was also CEO. The studio had over 350 employees across L.A. and Montreal, working on projects including “Deadpool,” “Rogue One” and “Game of Thrones.”
Tudhope’s experience spans two and a half decades, in which he has worked on over fifty feature film and episodic projects including “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” for Amazon Studios and “Spiderhead,” working as production-side VFX supervisor alongside director Joseph Kosinski. Chief operating officer Mel Sullivan will replace him, with a mandate to focus on the company’s strategic direction.

VFX giant Framestore, whose recent projects include “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness,” “Moon Knight” and Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic “Elvis,” is expanding its Canadian footprint.
The Oscar, Emmy and BAFTA-winning creative studio has hired Melinka Thompson-Godoy (pictured above right) as the head of its Montreal studio while expanding Chloe Grysole’s role from managing director of its Montreal studio to managing director of film and episodic, which will see her remit expanded to the Vancouver studio as well.

Framestore, the Oscar-winning VFX company behind upcoming features such as “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore” and “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness,” has tapped Naomi Stopa and Jinnie Pak to join the company as it charts a global expansion.
Both hires will join the company’s Canada team, with Stopa appointed managing director, Vancouver, and Pak joining as head of production, Vancouver.

Graham Page joins as VFX supervisor after 14 years with Dneg, where he supervised the company’s work on titles such as “Avengers: Endgame,” “Captain Marvel” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”
His appointment brings Framestore’s tally of VFX supervisors to 24, with experience encompassing pre-production, on-set supervision through to the final delivery of visual effects.
