Posh, the critically-acclaimed and controversial West End play written by Laura Wade, set around the Riot Club, a drinking society made up of Oxford University's privileged elite, is to be made into a film.
Lone Scherfig, the director of An Education and One Day is on board to direct the feature, from a script written by Laura Wade. The film is currently casting.
Posh follows Miles and Alistair, two first year students determined to join the infamous Riot Club where reputations can be made or destroyed over the course of a single evening.
The stage play premiered at the Royal Court in 2010 and then had a West End run at the Duke of York Theatre in 2012. The young cast included Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Kit Harington, and Joshua McGuire.
Posh the film is being produced by Blueprint Pictures with BFI Film Fund and Film4 as co-developers.

"An Education" and "One Day" director Lone Scherfig has come onboard to helm the film adaptation of Laura Wade’s acclaimed and controversial West End play "Posh" at Blueprint Pictures.
Set amongst the privileged elite of Oxford University, the story follows two first year students determined to join the infamous Riot Club where reputations can be made or destroyed in a single evening.
Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin are producing with casting now underway. Filming kicks off in May.
