Not all is sunny in the new limited series Florida Man. Created by showrunner Donald Todd, the thriller-comedy follows Mike Valentine (Edgar Ramírez), a recovering gambling addict who’s forced to return to his home state of Florida to help search for a mob boss’ runaway girlfriend. This isn’t a simple task, as Mike finds himself entangled in bizarre situations that sound like they were ripped straight from the headlines. In an exclusive interview with uInterview, Florida Man stars Edgar Ramirez and Abbey Lee discuss on-screen chemistry between their characters Mike Valentine and Delly West, their favorite moments while filming, as well as their take on the “Florida Man” meme.
“Well, I think there’s always a natural chemistry that two people have and we were quite lucky. I feel like we were quite like and finding out very quickly that there was something natural and easy and relaxed between the two of us,” Lee explained about her bond with Ramirez. “We both are very passionate about our work, and we were very passionate about the roles and the show. Edgar Ramirez is our Florida Man in Netflix’s new action-comedy series. Abbey Lee is the catalyst that made the Florida Man return to the Sunshine State. I spent some time with both Ramirez and Lee to talk about the making of “Florida Man.” “Florida Man” is now available to stream on Netflix. Premise: Mike Valentine

Previously, in “Florida Man” episode 3, it was revealed that Mike had successfully located the lake and the Colonial where the truck had sunk. Unfortunately, Delly had already informed Sonny about the gold coins; therefore, Mike was forced to bring his father and his buddies along with him to the truck rescue operation. Mike and his crew created a distraction with Delly’s help and dove into the lake to retrieve the truck. However, the crane driver they hired wanted gold in lieu of payment, so Sonny’s friend Buzz had to shoot him to death. Mike and Sonny had to exit the water without the truck because Buzz was unable to hold the chain necessary to bring it out of the water.

Florida Man is a Netflix series created and directed by Donald Todd and starring Édgar Ramírez and Abadía Lee, is a drama in the world of mobsters full of entanglements.
An “American-style” thriller that leaves us the best and the least good of the entertainment industry: the system knows how to create a great production without risking the slightest.
Without being salient, it has all the elements of an 80’s thriller, those that didn’t go down in history and didn’t pretend to, but that gave us so many good moments.
About the Series
A film that does not want to stand out and that, full of desires to achieve in the cinematographic aspect, is born without the taste needed to be outstanding, but as a perfect television product in which good professionals get, without too much effort, “just another day at the office”.

Meet Mike Valentine (Edgar Ramírez), a resourceful guy embroiled in one twisty Elmore Leonard-esque mystery after another. An ex-cop with a gambling addiction, Mike reluctantly agrees to pay off a debt to petulant Philly mobster Moss Yankov (Emory Cohen) by heading to Central Florida to find fiery Delly West (Abbey Lee), Moss’ runaway girlfriend. That task kicks off a set of comedic turns in Florida Man, a seven-episode series peppered with mighty shady characters. One of many complications Mike comes up against in the Sunshine State, where he doesn’t like to admit he’s from, is his father, retired police chief Sonny Valentine (Anthony Lapaglia). “My character’s untrustworthy,” explains Lapaglia. That’s an understatement. “He has been out of Mike’s life for quite a while, but they have a healthy distrust of each other.” Though Sonny tries mending fences, life for the pair is complicated. “Something...

In case anyone has missed the many TV spots, trailers or the recent featurette about the opening action sequence for "Skyfall," the 23rd James Bond film looks to be filled with action, which is not limited to being above water.
James Bond is no stranger to fighting under water (see Bond-a-Thond #4 - "Thunderball"), but this time it doesn't look like Bond will have the benefit of a mask or air tank or even a wetsuit. The latest video blog from the "Skyfall" set released by 007.com explores a tense sequence where Daniel Craig is thrown into icy water and has to fight someone underwater. Where the scene takes place is unknown, though it appears that Bond may be thrown off a boat in what may be the North Atlantic. Underwater, Craig makes it look easy, but the key, according to Underwater Director of Photography Mike Valentine, is to make it look real.

"When shooting underwater, make it look exciting, dangerous and real, and the audience, hopefully, will buy it." That insight from Mike Valentine, the Underwater Director of Photography on Skyfall, sounds like a good rule of thumb for shooting on dry land, too. In the latest transmission from (long-wrapped) production of the upcoming James Bond flick, viewers are invited to venture into the depths of the massive stunt pool that became Daniel Craig's marine home away from home. Outfitting with floating chunks of ice for what is presumably a scene in the North Atlantic, the 1.2 million gallon
