Horror movies about food disorders are few and far between, or at least I haven’t seen many at all. But that is the subject that Shapeless tackles and it goes to some extreme places with it.
The film follows Ivy, a jazz singer who isn’t quite struggling but dreams of something bigger and better, while also suffering from an eating disorder that risks ruining not only her career but her whole life.
Visually, Shapeless is phenomenal. Her first feature film, director Samantha Aldana can obviously take plenty of credit for this but cinematographer Natalie Kingston deserves plenty of praise also. It is no surprise at all that she has a couple of noteworthy titles on her C.V. such as...

We’ve got an incredibly creepy trailer for you to check out for the Netflix indie-horror Eli. The film is directed by Ciarán Foy and follows a mother and father who take their ailing son with an autoimmune disorder to a home/facility to receive treatment, but things begin to go wrong when supernatural events occur, and evil seems to be lurking throughout the house and its staff.
As a last resort to cure their son’s auto-immune disorder, the Millers move into a sterile manor during his treatments. Eli is tormented by terrifying visions — deemed hallucinations — but something sinister may lurk within these walls.
The film stars Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone), Max Martini (13 Hours), Charlie Shotwell (All the Money in the World), Lili Taylor (Mystic Pizza), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Deneen Tyler (Black and Blue), and Katia Gomez (Get Hard).
Check out the trailer below, and see Eli on Netflix...

"Why do I feel worse?!" Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer for an indie horror film called Eli, the latest from acclaimed Irish filmmaker Ciarán Foy (of Citadel and Sinister 2). This hasn't premiered at any film festivals, but will be dropping right onto Netflix in a few weeks - just in time for the horror season. Eli is about a young boy named Eli, played by Charlie Shotwell, receiving treatment for his auto-immune disorder, who discovers that the house he's living isn't as safe as he thought. He moves into a "safe house" but starts to feel even worse, and starts to see some very creepy things. The full cast includes Kelly Reilly, Max Martini, Lili Taylor, Sadie Sink, Deneen Tyler, and Katia Gomez. This is a seriously freaky deaky little trailer. "You need to pull it together." Shout Studios has unveiled a trailer for the "gripping, suspenseful thriller" titled Ambition, the latest film directed by producer Bob Shaye. In Ambition, Katherine Hughes stars as a young aspiring violinist preparing for a competition. She's incredibly confidant and gets wrapped up in a frightening trap that she has to find her way out of. It raises the question: If an insane person is telling a story, is it real? That sounds like quite an intriguing introduction to this film. The full cast includes Sonoya Mizuno, Giles Matthey, Kyanna Simone, Jared Bankens, Deneen Tyler, Dylan McNamara, and Jordan Salmon, with a special appearance by Lin Shaye. Ambition is said to "create a world where desire and revenge converge into a questionable reality." Seems a bit like Black Swan, but with even more horror. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Bob Shaye's Ambition, direct...

Daniel Stamm’s 13 Sins, a remake of Thai film 13: Game of Death, is the disturbing tale of one man’s descent into crime and degradation. After receiving a mysterious phone call, debt-ridden Elliot Brindle (Marc Webber) is set on a path to riches, all he has to do is complete a bizarre series of tasks. As he desperately races through the increasingly disturbing tasks, earning larger and larger sums of money, the shady organization behind the “game” watch closely, egging him on.
From the outset the film is in good hands, great direction and a fairly solid script make for pleasing viewing. Throw in the fantastic Marc Webber as a slowly crumbling wimp,...

Film: "Dallas Buyers Club"; Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto, Denis O'Hare, Steve Zahn, Michael O'Neill, Dallas Roberts, Griffin Dunne, Kevin Rankin, Donna Duplantier and Deneen Tyler; Director: Jean-Marc Vallee; Rating: ***1/2
Unlike Director Dylan Mohan Gray's hard-hitting documentary, "Fire in the Blood", which was released in the Indian theaters last October, "Dallas Buyers Club" is a fascinating dramatization of the same subject.
It depicts how the medical profession, government and pharmaceutical giants in the Us dragged their heels in promoting the expensive Azt and ignoring its toxic.
