WrestleForce is a great way to see live professional wrestling in the UK, with upcoming events every week in Essex. I attended the latest event at the Wick Community Centre in Wickford, which despite the small venue manage to create quite an atmosphere with a sell-out crowd.
The layout of the venue means that the crowd are sectioned onto one side of the ring, but with the limited capacity of the venue, you feel really close to action especially when they bring the fight out to the crowd. It is one of the highlights of watching live wrestling in such as small venues, as you are given an opportunity to have a close interaction with the action. I was on edge for more than one occasion that a child may get accident crushed during one of the fights in the crowd, but thankfully no accidents occurred as the wrestlers frequently brawled between the amazed spectators.

Luis Suárez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are, unsurprisingly, among the highest-ranked players in FIFA 17, but for the first time in seven years, the latter Barcelona superstar is no longer the pick of the bunch.
Buoyed by a standout performance at this summer’s European Championships, it is Cristiano Ronaldo that has become the Mvp of FIFA 17 with a ranking of 94, with the Argentine nipping at his heels with an overall stat value of 93. Between them, Barcelona playermakers Suárez and Neymar, along with German shot-stopper Manuel Neuer, each hold a value of 92. You’ll be able to find the full breakdown over on EA’s official site.
There’s plenty to decipher, too, with cover star Marco Reus checking in with 88 stat value.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo – 94 (Real Madrid)
2. Lionel Messi – 93 (Barcelona)
3. Neymar – 92 (Barcelona)

Memes are the little moments that make the Internet shine. The moments when everyone on the Web comes together and decides which parts of pop culture deserve an extra bit of attention - usually in the form of a hashtag. This year, viral nuggets from Jared Leto, Leonardo DiCaprio, Solange Knowles and more found new life online, as they transformed from news stories into Twitter trends and Reddit gold. But memes aren't just for celebrities; they applaud the little guy too. In 2014, "Apparently Kid," "Hottie Thug" and the city of Sochi were all pulled from the murky depths of the...

Now that the transfer window has closed, Premier League managers can rest safe in the knowledge that, for a few months at least, there will be no more bids or unsettling rumours to negatively affect their most prized assets. Meanwhile, other coaches will have to hope that their best players find top form and avoid succumbing to the kind of costly injuries that can severely dent aspirations of winning silverware come the end of the season.
Some, like Chelsea and Manchester City, took care of business early doors, bolstering their already-impressive squads and moving on players who were deemed surplus to requirements. Other teams, including Manchester United and Hull, made substantial purchases towards the end of the transfer window and will have to wait and see if their investments will ultimately prove astute.

You will be forgiven for thinking that the loss of Luis Suárez to Barcelona for a gigantic £75 million would be a blow which would cripple Liverpool’s chances of making another convincing run at the Premier League title. It’s very true that the 27-year-old striker was a huge part of Liverpool’s run at the title last season, scoring 31 league goals in just 33 appearances. However, if the leaked player ratings that have just appeared online with Purely Football for FIFA 15 are anything to go by, the Reds stand a great chance of being title contenders in the top tier of English football once more.
Solid performances from nearly every player in Brendan Rodgers’ squad last season have led to a statistical upgrade for most of the Liverpool side. Though the potent strike force of Sturridge and Suárez received much of the praise,...

Monday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m. Pst was probably not the best time to call Gurinder Chadha. As a reporter interested in her thoughts on this year’s World Cup, I really should have known better: The France v. Nigeria game was wrapping up with about 20 minutes to go.

After Liverpool striker Luis Suarez disgraced himself yet again and confirmed his status as a vampire, by biting centre back Giorgio Chiellini on the shoulder, in Uruguay’s 1-0 victory over Italy on Tuesday – the third fellow professional footballer he has bitten in his career, after Psv’s Otman Bakkal and Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic – we started thinking…
If Suarez is a vampire, which other classic horror monsters could have been hiding in full sight amongst football’s ranks over the years?
The world of football boasts a wide variety of characters whose looks, traits and performances resemble some of the classic antagonists in movie history – namely the Universal Monsters. The classic Universal Monsters date back to 1923 and the classic era went on (with the likes of Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, Lon Chaney Jr and Bela Lugosi) until 1960, but there have been more additions to the monster roster since then.

Will Ferrell may just be the Us men's national team's number-one fan! The actor is on the scene in Recife, Brazil, where he crashed the USA fan headquarters to deliver a hilarious pump-up speech ahead of the game against Germany. With a nod to Uruguay's Luis Suárez, who's made headlines for biting other players, Will let the American fans know that he's more than willing to bite the opponents. Of course, there was also plenty of trash talk, plus an appearance from Teddy "Goalsevelt." Watch both hilarious videos to get excited for the game, and take advantage of the official World Cup get-out-of-work note to tune in!

Oops, Luis Suárez did it again. As he had twice before, the Uruguayan football star allegedly bit an opposing player on the pitch during Tuesday's World Cup match against Italy. Human flesh is something of a weakness for Suárez - the 27-year-old footballer had previously chomped down on opponents while playing for Afc Ajax in the Netherlands in 2010, and for Liverpool in the English Premier League in 2013. Though Uruguay beat Italy 1-0 to move into the knockout stage of the World Cup, there is a chance that Suárez will not be there to join them; FIFA is still considering his punishment,...

Luis Suarez memes have taken over Twitter after the Uruguayan soccer player appeared to bite the shoulder of Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini in their 2014 World Cup face-off Tuesday afternoon.
Luis Suarez Biting Memes Go Viral
Suarez has been nicknamed the Hannibal Lecter of international soccer, having bitten at least two other opponents prior to Chiellini. Last year, while playing for his current club team – the English Premiere League’s Liverpool Fc – Suarez bit the arm of Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic. FIFA subsequently banned him for 10 games. In 2010, Suarez received a seven-match ban for biting Otman Bakkal in the Dutch Eredivisie.
In addition to drawing comparison’s to Hannibal, Suarez has now inspired memes that make him into a vampire, a zombie, Jaws and more.

Prince Harry was in the stands to watch England play for dignity, if not a place in the knockout round, in the 2014 World Cup today, his national team having come up short in its Group D matches against Italy and Uruguay (the latter of course forever to be the subject of scrutiny thanks to nibble-prone Luis Suárez's punishment-peppered track record coming into the tournament). England hadn't played in a World Cup without winning at least one match since 1958 in Sweden, but that's exactly what happened this year. Arsenal were the big winners last weekend – their 2-0 victory over Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 5 points after five of the chasing six dropped points. Arsène Wenger’s side followed that up with an impressive result, beating Borussia Dortmund 1-0 in Germany on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
The Gunners travel to Manchester United on Sunday. David Moyes’ side were victorious again last week, beating Fulham 3-1 and closing the gap between them and 4th place to 3 points after Tottenham drew 0-0 with Everton. Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at Newcastle when they host West Brom this weekend. José Mourinho has won 51 of his 65 Premier League games drawing the other 14 and his Blues are heavy favourites to pick up 3 points this weekend.

Bookmakers William Hill and Bet365 have made Arsenal odds-on to sign Liverpool striker Luis Suárez by the end of this summer’s transfer window.
William Hill have odds as short as 4/9 for Suárez to join the Gunners before the deadline on 3 September, whilst Bet365 have a better price for those expecting Arsenal to complete the deal, at 5/6.
The latest reports are that Arsenal are going to bid £51 million for the second highest goal scorer in last season’s Premier League (23 goals). The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Uruguayan for some time now, whilst the striker himself is trying to force a move away from Anfield.

Luis Suárez’s latest claim in his attempt to seek a move away from Liverpool is that the club promised him a transfer if they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Liverpool will not be competing in European competition of any kind this season, finishing 12 points behind Arsenal who claimed the final Champions League spot, and 28 points behind Champions Manchester United.
The controversial Uruguayan striker has been subject to a £40 million+ bid from Arsenal and claims that he had the chance to leave Anfield last year before being persuaded to stay for Brendan Rodgers’ first season, reports the Mirror.
Quoted by the newspaper, Suárez says:
“I want to move to play in the Champions League, and there is a club offering me that opportunity.
“I have told the manager that I want to leave the club.

This summer Anfield has already seen the departure of Andy Carroll to fellow Premier League side West Ham United.
Andy Carroll was signed for £35 million from Newcastle United in January 2011, and a little more than two years later he has been sold on for just £15 million. Liverpool also recouped a reported £2 million when they loaned him out to the Hammers last season.
Today, the Guardian is reporting Liverpool are prepared to let Stewart Downing go for £5 million with Newcastle United a potential buyer.
Two years ago Liverpool landed Stewart Downing for £20 million from Aston Villa. At the time they were also linked to Valencia’s Juan Mata, but manager Kenny Dalglish apparently preferred the England winger.

In recent days, odds have shortened on a bet that previously would have seemed, and still almost does, ludicrous – that of Luis Suárez being linked with a transfer to Arsenal.
The supposed “£30 million bid” for the Uruguayan striker was tabled by Arsenal after talks hit a snag with Real Madrid over their top transfer target, Gonzalo Higuaín. Following several explicit rants to the Uruguayan press from Luis Suárez about the English media, the bid came as a shock to many – especially considering that the striker admitted he is “flattered” by the interest and insisted that Arsenal is “an option” for him.
But there might seem to be a method to the madness – a cunning plan – one that would suit Suárez and Arsenal alike. In fact, their interest in the Liverpool striker might be completely bogus.
Recent reports from Spain have suggested that Madrid will only sell Higuaín to Arsenal provided...

The season is now over and the summer transfer window looms large ahead of us.
This summer is likely to be another busy one for Liverpool Football Club and the club’s manager Brendan Rodgers, which makes their transfer activity particularly interesting.
Will they finally start to sign the quality of player they need? Will they continue to build on the good signings of Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho? I’m sure many of us will look on in interest at their activity this close-season. Even Spurs, Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea fans may be interested, with Liverpool showing at times that they can already challenge the best teams in the league – although the consistent lack of inconsistency means Liverpool have never really been a real threat this season.
One thing we know for sure is that all the teams around Liverpool will improve during the summer so they must also do the same.
This summer is likely to be another busy one for Liverpool Football Club and the club’s manager Brendan Rodgers, which makes their transfer activity particularly interesting.

Following on from the incidents of last Sunday and the overshadowed clash between Liverpool and Chelsea I thought it prudent to look at the some of the reasons Luis Suárez will be remembered on these shores.
Overall, we have a very conflicted individual with some clear mental instabilities probably caused by his unbelievable desire to win. It literally seems to unhinge him. In the heat of the moment he will do anything to win, literally anything, and he comes across as a wide eyed crazy person. But many lay testament to Suárez the family man, Suárez the friend and Suárez the inspirational. In fact, the much discussed series Being: Liverpool showed off many of these qualities hidden within Suárez – a loving father and husband and a devoted trainer and generally likeable guy.
Several Liverpool players have also come out publicly on separate occasions to send out glowing representations of Suárez’ character.

This year’s Pfa Player of the Year Award is one of the closest fought for many years, and with the season approaching its finale there are still three candidates who could genuinely win the prestigious gong. These world class talents have lit up the Premier League in the last eight months, each with their own playing style and mannerisms.
Firstly you have the deadly Robin van Persie: having been the leading goalscorer in the Premier League last season, Rvp has continued his scintillating form in the 2012/13 season and is once again right in the thick of it when it comes to the leading goalscorer competition.
Then the second candidate comes in the form of Tottenham’s Gareth Bale. Up until Christmas time, Bale had experienced a rather standard season – scoring just 6 goals. However, since the New Year, Bale has become one of the world’s most in form...

I recently read an insightful article into Manchester City’s 5 best foreign players and begun to think what Liverpool’s might be. Since 1992, Liverpool have had 7 different managers, and although they haven’t proved to be as successful as the legendary Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly, they have all had highlights and many of them have been down to their excellent foreign players.
In this article we’ll look at Liverpool Football Club’s 15 greatest ever foreign players signed during the 21 years of Barclays Premier League football. From Hyypiä to Salif Diao and Djibril Cissé to Luis Suárez, there have been many hits and even more misses. But we’re here to celebrate the best so without further chatter, let’s begin…
Honourable mentions signed pre-bpl: Bruce Grobbelaar, and Jan Molby were not signed during the Premier League era so I’ve not included them on this list. They were...

Who would have thunked it? A small Uruguayan, who has a large history in diabolicalness, ending up as both Liverpool’s primary striker and the world’s greatest football villain. The innocent, smiling face we saw holding scarves with Kenny Dalglish on the Anfield pitch was that of hope; never, ever hate. No one could have prophesied that Luis Suarez could be the evilest of evils – apart from the guy he bit, the referee he head butted, or the Spurs player he kicked in the gut.
Ironically, when he first arrived, he wasn’t the biggest signing of the transfer window, not even for Liverpool. Ironically, once more, it was big Andy Carroll, who had just arrived for £35 million (thank you for that, Damien Commoli). The final piece of irony in the tale comes when even this was overshadowed by the biggest waste of money since the dawn of time – Fernando Torres.

Luis Suárez should be given a job in the Cabinet. He’s the footballer who’s been called a cheat, after he handled the ball just before scoring a goal for Liverpool in the Fa Cup, and experts are undecided as to how he should be dealt with. And you can see the difficulty, because with such a brazen attitude towards cheating, he ought to be running one of our major institutions.

“Yeah, good one mate. I’ve not heard that one before.” John Barnes and Ian Rush are in London’s Berkley Square to promote Hyundai’s new game app, Hyundai Boot Shoot. To do so, Hyundai have recreated the app in real life; parking one of their i20 cars in the square, popping the boot open and Barnes and Rush are shooting footballs into it with impressive accuracy. A sizable crowd has turned up to watch them.
Of course, whenever Barnes makes a public appearance, it is unlikely that some wiseacre doesn’t make reference to his infamous rap which graced the middle eight of New Order’s England anthem, ‘World in Motion’. Today is no exception – a laddish-looking man calls out for a rendition of the rap and whilst Barnes’s retort perhaps isn’t the wittiest, it does the job and the heckler is silenced. Perhaps that’s...
