I’m too lazy to Google it, but I’m pretty sure Jim Carrey had movie maybe 10 years ago where his character said “yes” to everything, all the time, immediately.
Somehow, that same madcap spirit seems to have infiltrated Season 7 of The Voice — where Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and newcomers Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani were slapping their buttons and turning their chairs not just from the opening three notes, but in some instances from the first pre-performance throat-clearance.

Kevin Sharp, the singer who made a name for himself in country music, died Saturday at his mother’s home in Fair Oaks, Calif. He was 43.
Kevin Sharp Dies
Sharp died from “complications due to cancer,” according to his mother, Elaine Sharp. "He had a good, strong heart," she told CNN. "He's not hurting anymore."
Sharp had battled cancer as a teenager, during which time he received a number of surgeries and underwent both radiation and chemotherapy. Although the disease did not recur, he suffered complications due to his past cancer treatments.
Among his best-known country hits was his cover of Tony Rich’s “Nobody Knows” in 1997. Also on his debut album Measure of a Man was “If You Love Somebody” and “She’s Sure Taking It Well.” He went on to release two more albums, Love Is (1998) and Make a Wish (2005).
After stepping away from his music career, Sharp threw himself into motivational speaking,...

The X Factor announced its Top 21 this week, put us through some incredibly fake drama before revealing the true Top 24, continued with more faux anger when L.A. Reid was given the Over 25s... and finally concluded with some singing on Wednesday!
This year's categories are different from last season. We have the Young Adults (roughly 18-24), the Over 25s (what I will affectionately refer to as the Old Geezers from here on out), the Groups, and the Teens (17 and under).
Who made it through? Who got the cut?
Young Adults
Cece Frey
Willie Jones
Jennel Garcia
Nick Youngerman - Who?
Paige Thomas
Jillian Jensen - She broke Demi's heart.
Old Geezers
Jason Brock
Daryl Black
David Correy
Tara Simon
Tate Stevens
Vino Alan
Hold the phone! I was questioning the idea of Tate Stevens making the Top 24 Before I knew Jeffrey Gutt was out. How is it possible that that dude didn't make it?...

The Publicity machine is starting to whirr into life for 20th Century Fox's summer release X-Men: First Class.
Director Matthew Vaughn's film - produced by Bryan Singer - is a prequel to the X-Men world established by the previous films and features younger versions of Professor Xavier and Magneto during the 1960s, before they became opponents.
The first look at the cast surfaced last night and, although pulled from some sites, has stayed on most of them overnight so I'm now taking the chance of posting it above.
Pictured (from left) are: Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havok, Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier.
You'll notice yellow and black costumes on many of the characters; these are closer to the...

Finally, we get a look at the cast of Matthew Vaughn's origin tale, X-Men: First Class and it's... well... it's Ok. Not really much to rally around, but then again, it's just a promo shot, not in high resolution, and without seeing anyone in action, there isn't much ado to be made of it. Take a look:
Doesn't exactly pull my zipper down, but it at least feels a little less clunky than the Captain America stills we showed a couple of days ago. For those non-nerds, go fuck yourselves here's a list of who's who, from left to right:
Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr, aka Magneto, master of magnetism
Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, the non-mutant genetic scientist and love interest of Charles Xavier
January Jones as Emma Frost, aka The White Queen of the Hellfire Club, appropriately dressed
Jason Flemyng as Azazel, one of the demonic Neyaphem...

X-men: First Class will be showing us a very different version of Professor Charles Xavier, the mutant telepath memorably portrayed in the previous films by Patrick Stewart.
Matthew Vaughn's prequel, now filming at Pinewood Studios in the UK, will reveal the character's early years, with James McAvoy playing the part.
Not only do we have a different actor but Xavier will also be represented differently, as McAvoy now confirms. What follows could be classed as mild Spoilers so be warned.
Essentially, his version of Xavier will have hair and he won't yet be in a wheelchair, though the film will show how the character lost the ability to walk.
Speaking to MTV at the Toronto Film Festival, McAvoy joked: "I'm basically going to try and bury Patrick's performance."
He elaborated: "I think the fun about these films, when you go back and you either reboot or do a prequel,...
