I’ve learned that the cable network has given a 10-episode order to Signed, Sealed & Delivered (formerly Dead Letters) ahead of the backdoor pilot’s October 12 premiere as an original movie. I hear the decision was made based on great testing results for the pilot. Created and executive produced by former Touched By An Angel executive producer Martha Williamson, Signed, Sealed & Delivered is a comedic drama about an intrepid group of mail detectives in the Dead Letter Office who will deliver every last lost & dead letter to its rightful owner just when the recipient needs it most. Ugly Betty alum Eric Mabius is leading that cast, which also includes Daphne Zuniga, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson. Williamson is executive producing with Joel S. Exclusive: Spike TV, which earlier this year signaled a return to scripted programming through event series, has added another such project to its development slate — a new look at the story of Tutankhamun, aka King Tut (1333 to 1323 BC), the youngest Pharaoh to rule Ancient Egypt. The six-part series, from Canadian production company Muse Entertainment (The Kennedys), is based on historical facts from recently discovered DNA evidence. It explores the drama of power, political backstabbing, war and murder and chronicles King Tut’s rise to glory, his efforts to rule a chaotic empire and the enigma surrounding his death. A young Tut is thrust into power after the murder of his father. The neophyte ruler is forced to marry his sister in order to maintain the dynasty. Although Tut rules as Pharaoh, he is controlled like a puppet by three formidable men who plot against him and vie for the throne themselves.

A new documentary alleges that a Secret Service agent was the second (and accidental) shooter in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
At the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles on Sunday, producers and investigators behind Reelz Channel's new documentary "JFK: The Smoking Gun" made the claim that George Hickey, a Secret Service agent riding in the car behind Kennedy, accidentally shot the president on November 22, 1963. The film follows veteran police detective Colin McLaren in his four-year investigation of the assassination and points at Hickey, who died two years ago.
McLaren's research built on the work of Howard Donahue, who spent 20 years studying the assassination and had his findings documented in Bonar Menninger’s book Mortal Error: The Shot That Killed JFK. McLaren and Menninger were on hand Sunday to take questions about their film, which the network billed in press notes as a "docudrama."

Now that we know for sure that "Begin Human" is returning for a fourth season on Syfy, the three primary cast members have recorded a video for the fans in which they speculate a bit on what's ahead for Sally, Aidan, and Josh.
"Being Human" stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, Sam Huntington, and Kristen Hager as vampire Aidan, ghost Sally, and newlywed werewolves Josh and Nora. Together they struggle to suppress their supernatural secrets and temptations and live their lives as close to normal as possible.
“‘Being Human’ really hit its stride creatively this year,” said Mark Stern, President of Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head of Original Content, Universal Cable Productions (and we agree wholeheartedly). “This show has become a signature series for Syfy, and we are thrilled to have it return in 2014.”
"Being Human" is a Muse Entertainment production and is based on the acclaimed series created by Toby Whithouse and produced by Touchpaper.

It’s true; no matter what certain networks may claim about their “winter finales,” winter doesn’t actually start until December 21, and isn’t over until March 20. Syfy, at least, understands this, and has announced their appropriately-titled winter schedule accordingly.
Happily this means that, starting on Monday, January 14, 2013, we will have some great television to get us through the cold months, including the return of Being Human and Lost Girl, and the premiere of Continuum, and later in the week, the return of Ghost Hunters and Face Off.
Here’s the schedule of premieres, along with series synopses:
Syfy’S 2013 Winter Programming Highlighted By Series Premieres Of Ghost Mine, Robot Combat League, Stranded And Continuum Season Returns Of Hits Being Human, Face Off, Total Blackout, Ghost Hunters, Lost Girl, Haunted Collector And Final Season Of Merlin

Syfy wasn't kidding when they said this season of "Being Human" is all about temptation! Last night's episode took a really dark turn down that path, and from what's shown in this preview and clip from Episode 2.05, "Addicted to Love", it doesn't look like things will be changing soon.
"Being Human" Episode 2.05 "Addicted to Love" (2/13/12 Air Date):
Aidan and Suren's (guest star Dichen Lachman) love affair heats up while Sally gets tangled in her own love triangle.
In the clip Josh walks into the kitchen and notices Sally with her head down on the counter and jokes about having a rough night. Sally finally lifts her head and looks shockingly pale. She says she’s been experimenting with a woman, using her body to do things she is not able to do as a ghost.
In "Being Human" leading normal lives is a lot harder than it looks for...

It may not be the most popular view in town, but we are really enjoying the second season of Syfy's "Being Human" as so far it's bringing the perfect mix of horror and dark comedy to the small screen. Today we have a preview and sneak peek clip from the upcoming Episode 2.03, "All Out of Blood", to share.
"Being Human" Episode 2.03 "All Out of Blood" (1/30/12 Air Date):
Josh and Nora (Kristen Hager) confront their first werewolf change together. Aidan is shocked to discover a secret from his new girlfriend Julia's (Natalie Brown) past.
In the clip we see Josh, Nora, and Sally in a vacant storage unit where they discuss the location for their next werewolf transformation. Josh's plan for them to be videotaped during the process has Nora skeptical, but he assures Nora that he's only trying his best to find out how they both can be treated...
