As we head into the delayed 2023-24 TV season, many of our favorite shows are saying goodbye to beloved cast members.
To be honest, though, the big casting shake-ups are happening across Dick Wolf's rich tapestry of shows, and the latest fills us with dread.
FBI: International is the unlucky show getting the latest shake-up.
Heida Reed, who plays Special Agent Jamie Kellet, is being written out of the show early into its third season.
It doesn't sound like Kellet decided to walk away from the show, with sources telling TVLine that it was for creative reasons.
The casting news could be a massive spoiler for FBI: International Season 3, given that the freshman season concluded with a bomb exploding at the team's offices.
Seal Team is Ending a Season Too Late
With fans waiting months for clarity on who might have survived, we may have an answer for who did not survive.

Does the latest exit from a Dick Wolf series offer a hint as to how that season-ending explosion might leave the team? Heida Reed will be departing FBI: International “early” in its third season, set to premiere on February 13, according to TVLine. She debuted as Special Agent Jamie Kellett in the series premiere (which was part of a three-show crossover). According to the outlet, this is “creatively driven.” This news comes after Season 2 ended with the entire Fly Team — Scott (Luke Kleintank), Jamie, Vo (Vinessa Vidotto), Smitty (Eva-Jane Willis), and Powell (Greg Hovanessian) inside, Raines (Carter Redwood) outside — caught up in an explosion from the first floor of the building in which their headquarters is located. The only one we saw in the aftermath was Raines, unconscious. Since it’s unclear what “early” means, it’s possible that Jamie dies or is seriously ...

The European Film Academy (Efa) has unveiled 462 film professionals as new members in an announcement timed to coincide with Europe Day on May 9.
The new arrivals will be eligible to vote in the academy’s European Film Awards, the region’s equivalent to the Academy Awards, as well as contribute to its other initiatives across the year.
The Efa said a record number of professionals had accepted to join the organization this year, adding that 50% were female, 49%, were male, and 1% defined as non-binary.
The bigger intake comes amid a drive to revamp the academy which recently announced it would be moving the Efa ceremony to January in 2026, from its traditional December slot, to make it more relevant in the annual film awards season culminating with the Oscars.
The Efa currently now counts 4,600 members based in 52 countries.
The new members mainly hailed from Germany (68), France (38), Switzerland (37), Poland (36), Italy (33), Spain (24), UK (28) and...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI: International Season 2 Episode 12, “Glimmers and Ghosts.”] Christiane Paul returns to FBI: International for an episode that gets very personal for Katrin Jaeger. The investigation into the murder of a former asset of the Stasi — a huge network of informants and collaborators who spied on family, friends, and neighbors — in East Germany leads to Jaeger opening up to Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank) about her own family’s history. She grew up in East Berlin but remembers her family being happy until the day her father found a listening device in the living room. Then, when she was 7, her father took her to a park, sat her on a bench, and went to get hot chocolate … only to never return. He abandoned them and escaped over the wall. Her mother was arrested on suspicion of complicity, and that was the end of her family. But it turns out the man who put Jaeger on ...

Christiane Paul returns to FBI: International as Katrin Jaeger, but it’s not entirely a happy reunion for the Fly Team with their former Europol liaison. The case ends up being a very personal one for Jaeger. In “Glimmers and Ghosts,” Jaeger, the Fly Team, and Smitty (Eva-Jane Willis) investigate when, in Berlin, an unidentified American kills an elderly German man who appears to have been a covert asset of the ruthless Stasi in East Germany during the Cold War. Paul previews her return. Preview what brings Jaeger and the Fly Team back together. Christiane Paul: There’s obviously a murder case — otherwise, the FBI wouldn’t come in — in Berlin and the victim seems to be a retired math teacher and he’s actually killed by an American citizen. What’s very strange about this case is that we’ve got an audio recording of the voice of the killer.

The Fly Team of CBS’ FBI: International gets an assist this week from a very familiar face when a murder in Berlin reunites them with Europol agent Katrin Jaeger, played by former series regular Christiane Paul.
TVLine spoke with Paul about returning for no mere encore but a “deep dive” into Jaeger’s past, with the episode “Glimmers & Ghosts” (airing Tuesday at 9/8c). And while we had the German actress on the Zoom, we had to get her thoughts on Starz’s gone-too-soon spy drama, Counterpart, and the literally viral storyline she was a part of.

FBI: Most Wanted is adding a new agent to its ranks.
Edwin Hodge has joined the cast of FBI: Most Wanted Season 4, filling the void left by Miguel Gomez, according to Deadline.
Gomez has been written out of the series following the conclusion of FBI: Most Wanted Season 3.
The news broke in June, with Deadline citing a "creative decision" as the likely reason for the exit of Gomez as Special Agent Ivan Ortiz.
Hodge is set to play Ray Cannon on the CBS procedural, a man who graduated at the top of his class at Quantico.
Hodge’s other TV credits include Good Sam, Mayans M.C., Chicago Fire, For All Mankind, and Six.

FBI: Most Wanted has recruited Edwin Hodge to fill the Season 4 void that was left by Miguel Gomez’s exit.
Gomez, who had played Special Agent Ivan Ortiz for two seasons, parted ways with the CBS procedural in early June, the result of what was reported at the time to be a “creative decision.” (In May’s Season 3 finale, Ortiz left the Fugitive Task Force to go back home to L.A. and take care of his sick father.)

Christiane Paul has turned in her badge. That's right, the star of FBI: International, who played Europol agent Katrin Jaeger in season one of the CBS drama, will not return for season two. This isn't entirely surprising to learn, as the finale showed Paul's character getting a promotion and saying goodbye to the team. Her replacement has already been found, however, as Deadline reports that Eva-Jane Willis is joining the cast for the next installment. According to the publication, Willis' character is a Europol agent with street smarts thanks to her experience undercover. Intriguing, right? While we'll miss Paul's presence on FBI: International, she's...

When FBI: International returns in the fall, it will be without one of its original stars.
Christiane Paul is bowing out of the CBS procedural ahead of its second season, and we're not surprised.
The conclusion of FBI: International Season 1 found Katrin Jaeger (Paul) with an exciting promotion to oversee all of Western Europe.
Naturally, this meant her arc on the show had ended, and now, it's been confirmed.
The only good news about this departure is that many expected it to happen, so there was an on-screen resolution, which is unheard of on many shows.
According to TV Line, Eva-Jane Willis will play Jaeger's successor for the second season -- and possibly beyond.
Willis will play Megan “Smitty” Garretson, a “street-wise Europol agent with an extensive undercover background who is embedded with The Fly Team and liaises with each host country they inhabit.”

The FBI: International‘s Fly Team officially has a new Europol agent, confirming what the Season 1 finale set up: Christiane Paul’s exit as a series regular. Eva-Jane Willis has joined the cast as Megan “Smitty” Garretson, according to Deadline. Smitty is described as “a street-wise Europol agent with an extensive undercover background who is embedded with The Fly Team and liaises with each host country they inhabit.” Nelly Kiss/CBS The Season 1 finale revealed that Paul’s Katrin Jaeger was working her last case with the Fly Team, following a promotion to oversee all of Western Europe. “You’ll be fine without me,” she insisted to the team. Furthermore, when asked who’d be replacing her, Jaeger revealed the choice was hers, meaning that Smitty should have her approval, which could make the transition a bit easier. The finale ended with a “proper going away party” for Jaeger, with...

The Caseys are back on TV in the Dick Wolf universe this May… sort of. Jesse Spencer, who played Captain Matt Casey on Chicago Fire for 10 seasons until his departure earlier this year, returns for the NBC drama’s finale on May 24. And the actress who played his sister is back on our screens as well, in a different capacity. Nicole Forester will be guest starring on CBS’ FBI: International — technically part of the same universe as Chicago Fire, via a P.D. crossover with FBI — in the May 17 episode as a new character. In “Black Penguin,” the Fly Team and Jaeger (Christiane Paul) — who was told she was basically fired, pending “the bureaucratic system” in the latest episode — head to Berlin when the 19-year-old son of an American billionaire is found unresponsive in his apartment. As the team seeks to determine if foul play was involved, they realize there...
