(1991) Her play, "Bold Girls," was performed at the Hampstead Theatre in London, England with Catherine Cusack, Orla Charlton, and Imelda Staunton in the cast. John Dove was director.
(1995) Her play, "The Maiden Stone," was performed at the Hampstead Theatre in London, England with Frances Tomelty, Shirley Henderson, Sarah Crowe, and Paul Higgins in the cast.
(2001-02) Her play 'Iron' was presented at the Traverse Theatre and the Royal Court in London before a subsequent production at the Manhattan Theatre Club New York. It won the John Whiting prize in 2003
(2014) she wrote 'The James Plays', a trilogy of plays commissioned by the National Theatre of Scotland The National Theatre UK and Edinburgh International Festival. The plays won The Evening Standard 'Best Play' and the Writer's Guild 'Best Play in 2014 and went on to tour internationally in 2015-16.
