Speaking to Rolling Stone earlier in October, Geddy Lee confirmed what fans already knew, that Rush have “zero plans to tour again.” The bassist and singer also speculated about his musical future, hinting that he might at some point work on some new solo material. “I’ll probably find myself bored and wandering down to the studio to try to enliven my own life, and if something of a positive nature happens down there, I’ll take it to the next step,” he said. “But beyond that, I could only guess.

Girls don't like Rush.
That would be the conventional party line from dudes who've gone so deep into "Yyz" drum solos and stereotyping movies like "I Love You, Man" they've lost perspective.
Don't tell that to Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson, though. She totally digs the work of Geddy Lee, Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson and has since shared her fandom with her sisters.
"I am into Rush," Wilson tells HuffPost Canada Music. "We are into Rush now. We watched that documentary 'Beyond The Lighted Stage.' I found it so completely great I took it on the road and me and [Heart singer] Ann and [other Wilson sister] Lynn watched it on our tour bus and we're like, 'Oh my god, we get it! We understand where it comes from now.'"
Conditions were right for the Wilson sisters to get behind the band responsible for such classics as "Tom Sawyer," "Subdivisions" and "Limelight." Both...

Besides, it wasn't a live presentation and not all the awards were shows on TV/webcast. Second Besides: When will a TV network (and not some cable network that few Canadians have) broadcast the Genie Awards? Anyway, without further ado, here's the presentation of the winners.

With so much fuss being made about J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot, it's easy to forget that there is another successful franchise out there with Star... in the title. That would be Stargate, which is due for its own sort of makeover later this year with the premiere of Stargate Universe. This is no sign that the concept is struggling, though. Indeed, the slew of awards that Stargate productions won at the recent Leo Awards in Vancouver, British Columbia (the home base of CinemaSpy) shows that it continues to be admired.
The Leo Awards are presented by the Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Foundation of B.C.. They were established in 1998 to celebrate excellence in film and television productions that are made in the province. Stargate series and movies are largely filmed in Vancouver. At this years Celebration and Gala Ceremonies for the Leos, which took place on May 8 and...
