Los Angeles, Feb 16 (Ians) Actress Barbara Alyn Woods says that a ‘One Tree Hill’, which had a decade-long run with more than 180 episodes, reunion may not be completely out of the cards.
Talking to etonline.com, the actress, who played the titular character of Deb Scott, opened up about how her ‘One Tree Hill’ “family” has maintained staying in touch for so long.
“We all kept in touch — unlike other shows where they say ‘We’re family, we’re going to keep in touch’, we actually have,” Woods said.
‘One Tree Hill’ aired from 2003 to 2012. The cast included names such as Sophia Bush, Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz.
Woods said it’s the closeness of the cast to this day, 12 years from the series finale, as well the resurgence of the drama, that could be to thank if and when the cast is brought...

"Take him out! Make a show of it." Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a crime action thriller film titled Red Right Hand, which is not connected with the video game series Red Dead Redemption. The film is now set to open soon in late February, without any festival premieres or any other appearances before. Orlando Bloom stars as Cash, who is trying to live an honest and quiet life, but when the small town crime kingpin "Big Cat" forces him back into her services, he proves capable of anything to protect the town and the only family he has left. Andie MacDowell co-stars as the big boss "Big Cat", which seems like some intriguing casting. Also with Garret Dillahunt, Brian Geraghty, James Lafferty, Jeremy Ratchford, Nicholas Logan, Scott Haze, and Alexandra Park. This looks like another standard gritty Appalachia crime thriller, with plenty of shoot outs and arguments and backcountry rendezvous and more.

James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, former cast members of the popular TV series “One Tree Hill,” returned to the Monte-Carlo Television Festival this week to present the premiere of the second season of their independently produced comedy “Everyone Is Doing Great,” described by the duo as an “anti-Entourage.” According to Colletti, the show will have a third season, and will continue to operate independently for now.
They were accompanied at the festival by two of their co-stars, “The Royals” actor Alexandra Park (who is also Lafferty’s wife and served as an executive producer and writer on Season 2) and Cariba Heine.
Lafferty and Colletti held a masterclass during the festival’s Business Content section, sharing insights on how to navigate independent production in Hollywood, and the challenges facing independent television producers. Lafferty said: “I would say the biggest challenge is the overall uncertainty.”

Without a market component, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival has nevertheless built out and bulked up its industry section with each passing edition. More than anything, the move came out of sheer practicality, says executive director Cécile Menoni.
“We realized that the professionals who were already present could benefit from certain professional content,” Menoni explains. “The idea was to involve the many people who were already in attendance. To federate the juries, nominees and journalists, and to convey their overall vision of cotemporary industry concerns.”
This year’s festival business program runs from June 17 – 19, beginning with a conversation moderated by Variety’s Leo Barraclough that will find Amazon Studio’s Rola Bauer and executive producer Edward Ornelas discussing the challenges and opportunities, casting choices and artistic ambitions of the festival’s opening series, “Harlan Corben’s Shelter.”

One Tree Hill debuted on The CW in 2003, joining the ranks of teen soap operas. The show followed two brothers who had grown apart as they navigated life in the little town of Tree Hill, North Carolina. There is still a sizable following for the series, which starred James Lafferty, Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz, Chad Michael Murray, and Hilarie Burton.
Throughout its nine seasons, One Tree Hill had several celebrities make guest appearances on the show. One of them was Fall Out Boy’s, Pete Wentz. Fifteen years after the singer’s appearance on the show, Burton said Wentz’s cameo looked bad for him.

Jamie Lucas Scott, you are making us all feel old! Jackson Brundage, the child actor who captured hearts on the teen drama One Tree Hill, officially turned 21 on Jan. 21, leaving fans bursting with nostalgia! To celebrate, he shared a pic of himself holding up a peace sign and wrote on his Instagram Story, "21 today! Any alcohol recommendations?" On the hit CW series, Jackson played the son of Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and Hailey James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) after the show's timeline flashed forward four years at the beginning of its fifth season. His character was known for his adorable short stature, quick wit, forgiving heart and love for his pet rabbit Chester. He also had big dreams to...

With TV shows being rebooted or revived constantly these days, it's only a matter of time before One Tree Hill gets the same treatment.
Now, Chad Michael Murray is weighing in on a follow-up.
"I can't imagine that it won't, at some point," the Lucas Scott actor told E! News.
"We get asked all the time. I know I do. And I know (Peyton Sawyer actress Hilarie Burton) does, and I see everybody at least once or twice a year..."
"The group text is about to blow up because it's almost Christmas, I think I get about 64 messages on the group chain from everybody, just going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth," the actor continued.
"When you look at your phone, you got 64 texts. 'I don't know that many people. Ok, it's all of them.'"

The chemistry is good, but maybe not that good. Without a doubt, One Tree Hill viewers had a lot of couples to root for during the show's long run between 2003 to 2012. There was one pair, however, who may have been a step above the rest. For many longtime fans, the chemistry between Haley James (Bethany Joy Lenz) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) was undeniable. In the Sept. 13 episode of iHeartRadio's Drama Queens podcast, Bethany shared some insight into whether character feelings ever transferred to personal feelings. "James and I always got on really well, but he was a lot younger than me," she told co-hosts Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton. "It just didn't really...

Sports stories have traditionally belonged to the movies. Something about the rhythms of competition, in which an athlete or team trains, plays, and then either wins or loses, is a natural fit for the film world’s three act structure.
Television, with its multiple episodes and seasons, is often more discursive and therefore less viable for truly great sports stories. Thankfully, that all seems poised to change. While some sports TV shows have found success in the past, now the medium has really kicked things up a notch. Sports stories like Brockmire, Ted Lasso, Cobra Kai, and more are not only welcome on television, but an essential part of the cable and streaming landscape.

Sophia Bush is speaking out about her time on One Tree Hill.
During an interview on the Chicks in the Office podcast, the actress said there were many negatives while working on the show.
"We were in our early 20s playing high school kids, but we didn't know anything. We were babies... We felt like little kids," Bush said of her and the others who starred on the series, including Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Lenz, James Lafferty, and Chad Michael Murray.
"When we look back now, we realize how young we were and how naive we were, and how, unfortunately, we didn't get to grow up on a set where people wanted to answer our questions or help us navigate any of the madness of the early aughts."
Bush said that the overall experience was "actually kind of scary and intimidating and confusing."

Disney+ has grounded its scripted original series, The Right Stuff.
Patrick J. Adams, Jake McDorman, Colin O’Donoghue, James Lafferty, Aaron Staton, Michael Trotter, and Micah Stock starred as America’s first astronauts in the series, which was an eight-episode take on Tom Wolfe’s book about the early days of the U.S. space program.
The good news for fans is that the series could continue at a new destination.
While Disney+ doesn't release ratings, it is thought the series was a moderate performer. Unfortunately, it didn't have much buzz, which could also hinder future seasons.
Warner Bros. Television is already shopping the series, with Deadline noting that TNT and HBO Max should be considered logical targets.
Helping matters is that the series, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way, was awarded $13.7 million to move production from Florida to California.
That's a big incentive, but without knowing the first season's financials,...

Disney+ has made its first scripted series cancellation with the National Geographic series “The Right Stuff” getting the ax after one season at the streamer, TheWrap has learned.

Warner Bros. Television has started shopping the series to other outlets, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap. The cancellation is said to be related to recent restructuring at Nat Geo. Should the series move forward with a different network, it could either be with the original cast in a different time period or with a new cast entirely.

Exclusive: Disney+ has opted not to order a second season of space race series The Right Stuff. The Mercury 7 period drama, starring Patrick J. Adams and Jake McDorman, originated at National Geographic before launching as a Disney+ original last October. It is Disney+’s first scripted series cancellation.
Warner Bros. Television, the studio behind The Right Stuff, is shopping it to other outlets, with WarnerMedia siblings TNT and HBO Max considered logical potential targets. I hear the options on the cast expire tomorrow, and Wbtv has asked for a two-week extension while the efforts to find a new home continue.
There is a major incentive for Wbtv and parent WarnerMedia to try and keep The Right Stuff going — in November, the series, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way, was given $13.7 million to move from Florida to California for Season 2, the fourth-highest relocating incentive ever awarded under the Cfc program.

“Everyone Is Doing Great,” the comedy created by “One Tree Hill” alumni James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, is heading to Paramount Plus outside the U.S.
The ViacomCBS-backed SVOD has picked up streaming rights to the eight-part Hulu series for the Nordics and Latin America — a deal that marks the show’s first international sale. Endeavor Content is handling the U.S. and international sales.
The comedy rolls out in the Nordics from Thursday, while the Latin America premiere will come later this year. “Everyone Is Doing Great” launched in January on Hulu.
Written and produced by Lafferty and Colletti, the series follows actors Seth (Colletti) and Jeremy (Lafferty), who together enjoyed the success of hit television vampire drama “Eternal” and, five years after their show has wrapped, continue to lean on each other to navigate their professional and personal lives.

Jana Kramer is opening up about her time on One Tree Hill, and it sure sounds like there was some animosity on the set of the series.
Kramer played Alex Dupre on the beloved CW drama and reunited with co-stars James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti on Monday's episode of Whine Down With Jana Kramer and Michael Caussin, a podcast she hosts with her husband.
The actress said on the podcast that she was "definitely closest" to Coletti, who played Chase on the series, a character who was romantically involved with Alex.

"When I was on the show there was just some, not cattiness, but just, 'You can’t talk to this person if you’re friends with this person.' So, I wasn’t very close to James because...
