The first time William Klayer saw his name listed in the credits he was watching Friday the 13th while sitting in a grindhouse theater on 42nd St. in New York City.. Based in NYC, his career has led him to have the of honor shooting some of the most iconic television shows ever set there.
From the original run Law & Order, to extensive work on comedies like 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, his love of the city shows in every frame. From running cables through the gutters and mounting lights on rooftops, he worked his way to being a cinematographer for over 2 dozen TV series. He even spent time pretending to be in NYC while shooting the series Suits in Toronto. Most recently he was a director of photography for the CBS television series FBI Most Wanted.
