- Cast as Janet Lawton in Edward D. Wood Jr.'s cult classic schlocker Bride of the Monster (1955) with Bela Lugosi, she also occasionally appeared on TV. According to actress Dolores Fuller, Wood's perennial leading lady in his films, the film was written for her but Wood gave it to Loretta when Ms. King offered to help "finance" the movie. Loretta strongly denied the allegation.
