- Bill Kenny was born on June 12, 1914 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an actor, known for The Great American Broadcast (1941), The Generation Gap (1968) and The Tonight Show (1953). He died on March 23, 1978 in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada.
- Elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of The Ink Spots) in 1989 (under the category Early Influences).
- His high, almost falsetto tenor voice was one of the hallmarks of the Ink Spots' sound. He was the last surviving member of the original group by almost a decade at his death.
