Steve's passion for filmmaking arose organically from his travel, life
experiences, education and a broad palette of literature. After
attending San Diego State University, U.C.L.A. and Oxford University,
Steve obtained his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles,
California. His early law career was spent as a trial and entertainment
lawyer. In 1999, Steve teamed up with some friends to executive produce
his first picture, Terror Tract, starring John Ritter and multiple Emmy
winner, Bryan Cranston. The successful outcome of the film resulted in
his forming Rainstorm Entertainment with his brother-in-law, Gregg L.
Daniel. To date, Steve has developed, produced and financed a number of
other pictures, both narrative and documentary, including The Big
Empty, Red White Black & Blue, Big Bad Wolf, The Lost Colony,
Billy Bates, State of Control, John Henry: The Steel Driving Racehorse
and Sunset Strip among others. Steve is in production on Blunt Force
and in pre-production on Duff McKagan's It's So Easy and other lies,
based on the best selling autobiography, The Lowlands to be directed by
noted filmmaker Alfredo de Villa, Magnet by Darren Mann and David
Benullo's Frost Bites. . Steve's interests include scuba diving (1,000+
dives and counting), contemporary art, travel, and physical fitness.
