Fox Searchlight has taken notice of his work, with Variety reporting that the studio has optioned his spec script, A Thousand Words, with the screenwriter set to make his directorial debut on the film. Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley, who can be seen later this year in Alexander Payne‘s The Descendants, has been picked to star.
