Following a highly successful run at the Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff), Craig Goodwill director/writer of the short film Patch Town today announced Montreal-based Suki Films is on board to co-produce a feature version of the film. Patch Town has received high praise from the press, industry and the public throughout Tiff and is expected to travel the festival circuit with Sudbury International Film festival (Cinefest) as its next stop. The short stars Lisa Ray and Rob Ramsay, and is produced/written by Catherine Gourdier, produced by Anneli Ekborn and co-produced by David Sparkes. .After watching the wondrous satirical fairytale that is Patch Town and meeting Craig Goodwill we knew that we had no other choice but to extend the story into a feature,. said Kimberley Berlin and Susan Schneir of Suki Films. .The idea of the film is so unique and universal that we know it must be told.
