While the Predator's trademark set of mandibles may be the first thing people think of when visualizing the alien hunter, it wasn't until the very end of the first film that his face is revealed. What initially sold audiences on this creature from another world was its high-tech gear that was highlighted by the now-iconic hunting mask. Sideshow Collectibles has produced more than a dozen collectibles based on the Predator franchise and their most recent release is the expertly crafted 1:1 replica of the mask from the 1987 movie. They have given us a look at the new mask and it is a worthy addition to any Predator fan's collection.
As someone who owns Sideshow's 1:1 busts from Alien and Aliens that didn't come with the custom-designed boxes, I'm really enjoying the new box design they've been including with their larger pieces. Their new approach gives a better first impression,...

"This is a "Bane" maquette I sculpted for "The Dark Night Rises" for Christopher Nolan. I also sculpted the full size head on Tom Hardy's lifecast which later got scanned." - Mario Torres "This is a resin, painted cast of a Hulk I sculpted. It was painted by Tim Gore and at Spectral. It was for "The Incredible Hulk." Unfortunately it did not look like this in the movie. It did although, look more like this in "The Avengers." Yes!" - Mario Torres It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.

Have you heard the old expression “The walls have ears?” Well, Los Angeles artist Tim Gore takes that saying to literal extremes with his three-dimensional creations, which also give those walls eyes, mouths, and a few other disturbing parts as well. A visit to Tim's “Extreme Gore Store” on Etsy is a like a flip through Leatherface's personal scrapbook: mutated strips of skin, sewn-up lips, punctured eyeballs and other uncomfortably realistic horrors are on display, all elegantly framed and ready to hang in your living room. Gore's 25 years of experience in makeup effects and toy design is evident in these pieces, which are crafted from silicone and polyurethane and hand-painted. Check out the full collection on Etsy!
