When it comes to ABC’s forthcoming Roseanne revival, eight is apparently not enough.
TVLine has learned exclusively that the network — which initially commissioned eight new episodes of the classic family comedy — has ordered one additional episode, bringing the total to 9. Five episodes have already been shot and, according to sources, ABC execs are very pleased with what they are seeing.
At the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour last month, ABC president Channing Dungey assured Roseanne fans that the revival would harken back to the show’s Emmy-winning heyday. “We’ve now heard the broad strokes of the creative for these eight episodes,...

It was just a couple of months ago that Grey’s Anatomy’s Jason George was telling TVLine that Ben and Bailey were the kind of marrieds who “work it out no matter what.” But as the time drew nearer for his character to cross over to the ABC drama’s upcoming firefighters spinoff, his outlook was beginning to change. Now, a breakup seems like “a genuine possibility,” he admitted at the show’s recent 300th-episode blowout. “Nothing lasts forever.”

In a statement circulated to reporters, Antico said, “Regina King, Jon Huertas, and Jason George—who gave up board seats to their unelected Unite for Strength running mates—ran ‘without any intention of serving in that position.’ These duplicitous actions seemed to be designed to use one’s celebrity status to give an unethical and unfair advantage to a political party, thus undermining the democratic process created to protect the will of the membership of SAG-aftra. Kevin replied with, “It's fantastic, funny and feels like vintage @GreysABC https://twitter.com/callietorres/status/890268349661413376 …" So, it sounds like the show could possibly revisit some of its earlier days when it first started. It was reported back on Thursday, July 27,2017, that Krista is going to spearhead the new 14th season. She was the head writer for the show in seasons one through seven.

With Anchorman 2 out in the UK this week, we interview director and co-writer Adam McKay to talk about improv, George Bush and more...
"They're nightmare people to work with," director Adam McKay says of the characters in Anchorman and this year's Anchorman 2. "They can't deal with change. They're sexist, they're classist, they're racist, they're ignorant, and they're supremely confident..."
It's all true. And yet, somehow, pompous news anchor Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and his utterly inept news team, as played by Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner, remain among the most memorable comic creations of the past 10 years, with their deep and often dreadful flaws masking an underlying sweetness and childlike view of the world.
With Adam McKay in the UK to promote this week's Anchorman 2, we relished the chance to talk about what makes Burgundy and the rest of the films' characters so appealing,...
