Vault director Tom DeNucci’s new film Johnny & Clyde is usually referred to as a “crime thriller”, but we’ve also heard that the story shifts gears to become a “balls-to-the-wall slasher/horror” flick. Since I have been a dedicated slasher fan since the 1980s, I’m looking forward to checking it out when it receives a theatrical and VOD release this Friday, May 5th. With the release just a few days away, a trailer for Johnny & Clyde has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.
Scripted by DeNucci and Nick Principe, Johnny & Clyde follows the two eponymous serial killers who are madly in love and on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino run by crime boss Alana and her head of security.

Screen Media Films has revealed an official trailer for a crime thriller titled Johnny & Clyde, yet another modern re-imagining of the classic Bonnie & Clyde. This new update is dropping in May and will be available on VOD right away, because of course it will be. This should be in the bargain bin already. Johnny & Clyde are two serial killers who are madly in love and on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino – owned by the crime boss Alana and guarded by a demonic slayer that she commands. Have they finally met their match? Only one way to find out... Johnny & Clyde stars Avan Jogia and Ajani Russell in the lead roles, with Megan Fox as Alana, Tyson Ritter, Bai Ling, Vanessa Angel, Robert Lasardo, and Armen Garo. It’s no coincidence that Johnny & Clyde sounds a lot like Bonnie and Clyde. Helping to usher in a new level of violence in mainstream film Arthur Penn’s film is one of the most influential and imitated films of its time. One can draw a line from Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker to Mickey and Mallory Knox, Oliver Stone’s Natural Born Killers. And from there to the latest film from director Tom DeNucci and co-writer Nick Principe who is probably better known for lending his imposing presence to films like Laid to Rest and FP2: Beats of Rage.

"Something happened on the island a few years ago." Well Go USA has revealed another official trailer for time loop horror thriller 6:45, made by filmmaker Craig Singer. This already opened last year, apparently although we never heard about it, and it lands on DVD coming up in March (which is what this new trailer is for). What if one of the best days of your life suddenly turned into your very worst nightmare? What if you were forced to relive that same day again and again? A couple embarks on a weekend getaway only to find the island curiously deserted. After stumbling upon the town’s dark secret, they trigger a time loop, forcing them to relive a demented cycle of terror with seemingly no means of escape. The film stars Michael Reed, Augie Duke, Armen Garo, and Thomas G. Waites. This is a very eclectic trailer that goes all over the place,...

“Whatever happens tonight, I remain confused.”
Vinyl closes its first season by cutting back and forth between Richie and Zak across a crowded room. It’s meant to remind us that the two men share a few too many secrets, and that the burden of guilt on Richie’s shoulders is far from lifted. It’s also almost completely flat, just like the preceding sequence in which Richie tells his employees and musicians to go nuts and spray-paint the label’s offices. The chaos he unleashes mirrors what he experienced in the pilot at the New York Dolls concert, but here there’s no raw-nerved depiction of the connection between music and listener to land the hullabaloo.
Nor is the stuff those close-ups on Cannavale and Romano are trying to remind us of all that interesting. The mob plot has potential, and in moments like Zak’s shit-smeared shoe abandoned...

Sex, drugs, rock and roll – and violence – reign in HBO's new trailer for Vinyl, the upcoming drama series from Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter. The clip, soundtracked by the Stooges' proto-punk anthem "I Wanna Be Your Dog," previews the insanity behind the music business in late Seventies New York City, where punk and disco were evolving the industry.

HBO has officially placed a series order for Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger's long-in-the-works project about a New York City record executive navigating the changing musical landscape of the 1970s, Collider reports. The network has also revealed the show's cast and their respective roles.
While HBO has been attached to the show for several years now, they hadn't given Scorsese and Jagger the green light until recently. Scorsese will direct the pilot episode for the still-untitled project, and continue to serve as one of the show's executive producers alongside Jagger and others.
