For those in the business of luxury gifting for Hollywood clients, it’s part of the job to keep the identities of both the giver and the receiver top secret. Which is why Tom Gallop, owner with wife Tara of Beverly Hills Teuscher-Chocolates of Switzerland, would not reveal the identity of a certain Oscar-winning actor-director who recently received a $310 silk-lined box of truffles from an unnamed producer. But Gallop strongly suggested that Clint Eastwood was the recipient of assortment of Teuscher’s champagne truffles, made at the Swiss company’s Zurich headquarters and laced with Dom Pérignon. While Gallop was officially mum, he offered these clues to TheWrap via email: “You’ll have to ‘Unforgiven’ me for this. Hate to be such a ‘Dirty Harry,’ but that’s just ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ of the situation.” Still, whether or not the Truffled One was actually Eastwood, this...

Yesterday we told you that Joe Johnston's Not Safe for Work was going to be headed straight to video. The news came from an interview the La Times did with producer Jason Blum that made things sound kind of grim. Apparently that's not the case at all.
The original comment was as follows: "Some of my movies work, and some of them don't," Blum said. "I want to be able to say to the studio, 'We missed; let's go to VOD.'"
Bloody Disgusting got in touch with Blum, who clarified his remarks. He wasn’t addressing the quality of any film in particular, just whether one of his movies would work as a wide release. Moreover, in the above quote he was talking about his model and preference of options rather than directly addressing any specific movie or the quality of the film. And, for the record, he “thinks it's great.

One of the best superhero flicks last summer was Joe Johnston's Captain America. And while Chris Evans's Steve Rogers is busy going big in Joss Whedon's Avengers, Johnston decided to take the opposite approach with his next project. The director's followup to the First Avenger will be a small actioner called Not Safe For Work and he just recruited one of his Howling Commandos, J.J. Feild, to join the film. Variety reports that Feild as well as Christian Clemenson and Tom Gallop were cast in Johnston's Not Safe For Work. And before anyone plays Mr./Mrs. Smart, I'm aware that Feild's character, James Montgomery Falsworth, is the original Union Jack and technically part of the Invaders but he was lumped into the Commandos for Johnston's adaptation of Captain America. And if you missed the comic book flick, you may have seen the actor with Michael Fassbender in...

"We pronounce it Gibbs." - Tony
After a number of installments centered around the NCIS team members, last night we were treated to an episode based entirely around the man himself, Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Or Leroy, as some might call him.
Maybe that's just what the show needed, a Gibbs episode to right the ship. I've enjoyed this season for the most part, but Mark Harmon truly anchored this week, reminding us why he's TV's #1 leading man.
Watching him navigate the dysfunctional family reunion of sorts that the case - with FBI Agent Fornell (Joe Spano) and their mutual ex Diane (Melinda McGraw) along for the ride - was funny, tense and real.
It was excellent from beginning to end, but the most moving, unexpected and emotionally loaded scene in "Devil's Triangle" was its very last. Gibbs was Diane's "Shannon," the one love she'll never replace.
He only "liked" her a lot,...

As Agent Pearce’s investigation closes in on Michael, he and Fiona are assigned a mission in the resort town of Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, to extract a biological weapons expert initially known only as Cheshire. Meanwhile, Sam and Jesse wrangle a meeting with Pavel Stigler, who loaned money to Tavian Korzha (Andrew Howard), the man who framed Michael for Max’s murder.
In most episodes of Burn Notice, Michael applies his espionage training to various situations one might not associate with the world of espionage. “Better Halves,” on the other hand, felt like a full-fledged spy mission, at least one you might find in a spy novel or movie, like True Lies or Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Michael and Fiona had to pick Cheshire from four couples who checked in to the hotel the same day. They ultimately identified Kevin and Nicki Skylar (Tom Gallop, Charisma Carpenter). Kevin was...

This Thursday on Burn Notice (USA Network, 9/8c), in order to nab a bio-weapons specialist who’s doing the Russians’ bidding, Michael and Fiona go undercover as rich marrieds at a South American resort. There, they target their asset’s beautiful and emotionally vulnerable wife, played by Charisma Carpenter. The Whedonverse alumna spoke with TVLine about how this episode will be super-satisfying for fans, shared tales from its “hardcore” set, and offered her qualified take on pop culture’s new vampire craze.

Charisma Carptenter’s guest appearance on Burn Notice is fast approaching. Her episode is airing Sept. 1, and TVLine posted a photo of Carpenter in character. She plays Nicki, the wife of a physicist (Tom Gallop) who she discovers is working for the Russians. As you can tell from the expression on her face in the photo, she is not happy. “Basically, I hate my husband now because our lives are run by the Russians — he doesn’t want to spend any money or do anything — and that makes for an unhappy trophy wife, which is a bad combination,” said Carpenter on her character.

Is too much Charisma a bad thing?
I was set to share with you last week a photo of Whedonverse alumna Charisma Carpenter guest-starring on Burn Notice, but then a certain Supernatural event occurred. So, in the interest of “breathing room,” TVLine presents it to you now.
In the Sept. 1 episode of the USA Network spy drama (airing Thursdays at 9/8c), Carpenter plays Nicki, the wife of a brilliant physicist (The Bourne Supremacy‘s Tom Gallop) who is now doing the Russians’ bidding. With that alliance comes strict rules to live by, and his hottie honey doesn’t cotton to that much.
