After losing their 4-year-old daughter, Brighton, to Rsv on Jan. 24, it would have been easy for Kevin and Bethany Tenney of Saratoga Springs, Utah, to shut the curtains, keep their other five children inside and refuse to answer the phone. The loss of their vivacious youngest daughter was "so shocking, so crushing, we didn't know how we'd get through it," Bethany, 36, tells People. "One minute, she seemed fine, then the next, she was struggling to breathe. Never would you think that her little life would end like this. And yet, there in the hospital, we had to accept that it did.

Rockaway Beach, a Queens neighborhood hit hard by Hurricane Sandy in October, is still rough around the edges. Five months later, houses near the water look abandoned, and the boardwalk is still in shambles. But weary residents received some great news on Friday, when they arrived at MoMa PS1's Vw Dome 2 next to the beach to see what was promoted as "a special performance": Patti Smith was the star of the show.
Andrea Gidder and Steve Fox, two Rockaway residents who have been living in the area since 1980, spoke to HuffPost about the large number of artists and curators who have recently moved to the area. "The community that's moved in here for the Renaissance of Rockaway has been terrific," Gidder said. "They didn't abandon us." Fox shrugged, saying, "They should've charged something and given it to the Rockaway recovery, but whatever!"

The Film:
The 1990′s were a fine time for being a fighting game fan. Of course, you can’t mention fighting games without the arcade and eventual console hits Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. But with innovation comes evolution, and due to the changing nature of the gaming industry, graphics and gameplay evolved. Such was the case in the fighting game genre, as the 2D fighters became 3D, in terms of environment and gameplay, and for all of the hoopla over Virtual Fighter, it was Tekken and especially its sequels that ruled the market. Outside of Mortal Kombat, who gave a good damn about story, although Wiki has Tekken‘s plot, I really don’t mind the attempt here by director Dwight H. Little (Marked for Death), although the film shares a companionship with the failed Street Fighter movie starring Jcvd, meaning Tekken has guilty pleasure written all over it.

I bet you forgot there was an upcoming Tekken movie coming our way from director Dwight Little (here and here). We did too, but Anchor Bay has acquired the film for some sort of a release but that was that back in September 2010 (here).
And out of the blue, IGN just received some new pics from the film as seen below:
Jin Kazama witnesses the death of his mother Jun by Tekken in the slums known as Anvil. After finding a Tekken ID he decides to seek out vengeance for his mother’s death. Jon Foo stars as Jin, with Luke Goss (Death Race 2) as Steve Fox and Cary Tagawa (Mortal Kombat) as Heihachi Mishima.

Sam Vaghar started Millennium Campus Network (McN) in 2007 when he was a student at Brandeis University. He had read Jeffrey Sachs' book The End of Poverty and knew he wanted to do something to help address the Un Millennium Development Goals and tackle global poverty. So Sam convened students from around the country at a series of annual conferences to inspire, engage, and call young people to action and built a collaborative network of campus groups. Working closely with leaders like Jeffrey Sachs and Partners in Health Founder Paul Farmer, as well as celebrities like John Legend, all of whom serve as advisers to McN, Sam is giving his generation the tools and asking them to stand up and be active citizens. Sam, now 24, talked to us about how to affect change and the urgent need to tackle global poverty.

Genetic mutations, anti-matter devices, telekinesis...and now a musical. Fringe has finally out done itself with its exploration into the bizarre and inexplicable. Because the execs at Fox know that musical numbers equal ratings, thanks to American Idol and Glee, we will be treated to Fringe: The Musical or "Brown Betty" as the episode is titled, as part of Fox Rocks Week. Despite the obvious play by the nework to turn the Glee/Idol crowd into Fringe fans, executive producer, Jeff Pinker told EW's Michael Ausiello, "We didn’t set out to do a musical, we set out to do an episode that explored Walter’s state of mind — he’s dealing with some very upsetting news. When we realized that the way Walter would deal with such news would be to try to anesthetize himself with copious amounts of marijuana, well, singing and dancing became a natural outcome.

The first look at martial arts film "Tekken" has been shared through a brand new international trailer. Highlighting the action scenes from the movie, the video gives a preview to the story of a young man who enters the last and greatest sporting event of all time to avenge the death of his mother.
In 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations the mightiest of which is Tekken. In order to keep the masses down, Tekken sponsors the Iron Fist Tournament in which fighters compete to the death for ultimate glory and receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth.
The film will follow street fighter Jin Kazama, who joins the tournament to seek revenge of his mother's death that he blames upon Tekken's powerful and controlling Chairman, Heihachi Mishima. As he tries to getting close enough to Mishima by winning the tournament,...

The Tekken movie has been completed for a little while now and lack of activity, including finding a distributor in the USA, has made many people think that this will be just another terrible video game adaptation. Something has finally emerged from the production in the form of its first official poster.
The film follows Jin Kazama (Jon Foo) in his attempts to rid himself of the devil which plagues his soul and confronting his father, Kazuya Mishima (Ian Anthony Dale) and his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa).
In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, the remaining territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu. In order to keep the masses down, Mishima sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters battle until one is left standing, who...

Twitch just found the first official Japanese poster on the official website for the live action Tekken film. Based on the popular video series of the same name this is a film that has been in the can for awhile and in the making much longer. Luke Goss stars as Steve Fox, Jon Foo stars as Jin Kazama, and it’s directed by Dwight H. Little (Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid) the film is being developed by Namco.
This movie seems like it is going to a massive waste of time and a huge piece of crap just like most of the films like this, i.e. – Street Fighter, Dragonball, Mortal Kombat. I don’t see this movie coming out anytime soon at least in the states.

Tekken, as in the video game? Yep, I'm talking about the platform fighting game Tekken. You may or may not know, but Namco has been working on a Tekken movie for a while (we ran some photos in February). In fact, the whole thing is shot and in the can, just waiting to be released. Luke Goss stars as Steve Fox, Jon Foo stars as Jin Kazama, and it's directed by Dwight H. Little (Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid). It's either a cult classic in the making or a huge piece of crap just like the Dragonball and Street Fighter movies from this year. Twitch just found the first official Japanese poster on the official website. Check it! Before someone says something about Warner Bros releasing this in Japan, they're only distributing there. In fact, I don't think this even has a Us distributor yet, but I'm not sure.

Reader Mike via the a Luke Goss fan forum sent over this link to someone’s Myspace page that has more first looks at actors from the upcoming live-action “Tekken” movie posing as their characters. Present and accounted for are Marian Zapico as Anna Williams, Cung Le as Marshall Law, Ian Anthony Dale as Kazuya, Gary Daniels as Bryan Fury, Luke Goss as Steve Fox, some extras, and plenty of random images from the “Tekken” set. A high-octane action movie about a young man who discovers he holds a great power and must battle a team of elite fighters who will stop at nothing in order to get it from him. Dwight H. Little directs. More images from the Myspace page here. It’s not the official site and I have no idea where he got them, but they seem to all be from the “Tekken” set. The Luke Goss...

Although we've been hearing a lot about both the Dragonball and Street Fighter movies, things have been rather quiet on the Tekken front. Oh wait, you didn't know that a Tekken movie was also being made? Yep, and it's actually being done independently, meaning Fox doesn't have their grimy hand on this one. Luke Goss is staring as Steve Fox and he is joined by an array of talented actors, including Jon Foo, who is starring as Jin Kazama. Thanks to one of readers, we've got our first look at Foo as Jin, courtesy of his official website. It's not much, but it is our first real photo from the upcoming video game adaptation. To the far right is the new photo of Jon Foo as the character Jin Kazama. The photo to the left is of director Dwight H. Little, Jon Foo, and actress Mircea Monroe as Kara on...
