Pink is being accused of shading Christina Aguilera in a recent interview, after ranking “Lady Marmalade” as her “least favorite” music video to make.
Speaking about her 2001 collaboration with Mýa, Lil’ Kim and Aguilera, Pink revealed that the “Lady Marmalade” video “wasn’t very much fun to make” and that while she is “all about fun,” there was “a lot of fuss” and some “personalities” that made it a negative experience for her.

Buzzfeed TikTok ended the interview with Pink saying, “Kim and Mýa were nice,” noticeably leaving out Aguilera, leading to speculation that she was “shading” the singer.
Pink addressed the shading accusations in a series of tweets directly responding to a since-deleted tweet from a fan that questioned her viral comments.

Exclusive: Call Me By Your Name Oscar winner James Ivory is behind a new biopic about Italian American pop singer Jimmy Roselli, who was a competitive voice at a time when Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Dean Martin were dominating.
J.D. Zeik, screenwriter of Robert De Niro pic Ronin, has penned the screenplay. Roselli grew up in Hoboken five houses down from Sinatra, some considering his vocal talents superior to Sinatra’s. Frank’s mother Dolly privately considered Jimmy her favorite singer. But due to his combative personality and refusal to yield to mob pressure to control him and his earnings, Roselli’s career suffered greatly.
This earned him powerful enemies and in his heyday of the 1950s and 60s led him to be blacklisted from the most important clubs, performance venues and his records banned at most radio stations. Self-sabotage may have hurt Roselli the most. He had a seven-show commitment on Ed Sullivan,...

Chatter before the VMAs said that Fergie would be joining Jack Harlow to perform his “Glamorous”-sampling No. 1 hit “First Class,” and that’s exactly what happened on the stage of the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday night.
Harlow started off with “First Class,” continuing his self-deprecating video appearances: He appeared in “What’s Poppin” as a short-order cook, on “Saturday Night Live” as a custodian, and tonight he appeared as an airline steward, high-fiving or walking past Avril Lavigne, Becky G and of course his pal Lil Nas X before quickly losing that outfit for a glittery black ensemble and a red-carpet scene. He quickly joined Fergie as the song transformed into “Glamorous.”

Hasbro’s My Little Pony has gone through quite a few different overhauls since the popular plaything’s initial creation in the 1980s. Not only have the toys themselves changed, morphing from a traditional cutesy cartoon style to a pushed anime-inspired appearance, but so have each of the films and televised series, progressively modernizing their aesthetics and storytelling. The franchise hit an all-time high when the “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” era began in 2010, ushering in a new congregation of die-hard fans — not just young girls, but also “Bronies,” the affectionate nickname given to the passionate (some to the point of toxic) adult male fanbase.

In early 2001, newly appointed A&m Records president Ron Fair was summoned to a meeting with Baz Luhrmann. Fair had produced several hit soundtracks, including Pretty Woman and Reality Bites, and Luhrmann was riding high after the crossover success of 1996’s Romeo + Juliet. Preparing for the release of Moulin Rouge!, the director wanted to commission a cover of Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade” that would unite a handful of A-list pop divas and lend the movie a smash single. Fair’s boss, Jimmy Iovine, tasked him with bringing it to life.

Pink and Christina Aguilera have called a truce. When Pink made her debut on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Thursday, she played a round of "Plead the Fifth." Host Andy Cohen asked her about her former rivalry with Aguilera, which ended after they reunited during a May 2016 episode of NBC's The Voice. The divas' feud began when they were recruited in 2001 to perform a cover of Patti Labelle's "Lady Marmalade" with Lil' Kim and Mýa for the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack. Two of music's biggest talents will unite to duet an iconic, award-winning song for Disney's live-action film, Beauty and the Beast! Come inside to learn more!
It's pretty much law, at this point, that any Disney animated movie must have musical elements within. That law has passed on to the live-action reboots Disney has been producing, where applicable. It's safe to say their latest, Beauty and the Beast, makes that list.
With all the iconic songs pretty much handled by the cast, one iconic, award-winning track still needs to be covered. The titular track, Beauty and the Beast, previously sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. Today, thanks to Disney President of Music & Soundtrack Mitchell Lieb, music superstars Ariana Grande and John Legend will collaborate for the track, with Grammy-winning producer Ron Fair producing.

The top 10 took the stage and Jennifer Hudson stopped by to guest mentor! Did you love tonight's show? As the top 10 competed for America's votes on tonight's episode of The Voice, coaches Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, and Cee Lo Green brought out some heavy artillery in the form of special mentors Ron Fair, Scott Hendricks, and Jennifer Hudson! Coach Adam Levine ignored the trend, which was just fine -- his protégé Bryan Keith didn't need extra help shining bright tonight! Sylvia Yacoub Christina brought Ron in to teach her team how to grow as she did in the beginning of her career, or something. Sylvia tackled Alicia Keys' new single "Girl on Fire" this week, explaining how she was pre-law, but music set her on fire, which seemed like a strained analogy. For her performance, she sat herself down at the piano, again, to evoke that full Alicia Keys imagery.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Idol" songstress will release her debut single, "This Time," on July 12 and perform the song as part of her set during this summer's American Idols Live! "This Time" was written by hitmaker Esther Dean, who is responsible for Rihanna's hit singles "S&M," "Rude Boy" and "What's My Name." Dean's musical stylings can also be heard on Nicki Minaj's smash "Super Bass." "This Time" is surprisingly not a ballad — which was Toscano's specialty during her short-lived time on "Idol." Instead, it is said to be an acoustic-guitar and beat-driven track.

As American Idol (TV) shockers go, last Thursday's elimination of Pia Toscano was ranked high on the "Omg, you're kidding me!" scale. Fans across America were in disbelief when the singer was in the bottom three then received the lowest amount of votes from America, resulting in her departure. Her captivating voice charmed millions, but as is often the case, the voice was simply not enough. Following her elimination, Pia sat down with a panel of journalists to answer questions about her departure from the show, along with what plans she has for the future. The following is a compilation of the Q&A session with Pia. Obviously words such as “shocker” have been thrown around in the past 12-hours about your elimination. Why do you think that the voters didn’t show up for you? I’ve been asked that question a lot today, and I really don’t know.

Pia Toscano has broken her silence in a recent interview with MTV regarding rumor suggesting that she's in talks to sign a deal with Interscope Records. The latest outcast of "American Idol" season 10 said, "I've been so busy that I haven't met with anybody right now."
In a vague answer, the 22-year-old New Yorker stated, "I really don't - I don't know yet what's going on with that. Hopefully, good things." She added, "I'm looking forward to any opportunities that are to come but I'm really just focused on the [upcoming 'Idol'] tour right now and getting some much needed rest that I haven't gotten."
Although she might have not sealed a record deal, Pia has already had a bunch of names in her bucket of collaborator wish list. "I would love to do a duet with Alicia Keys, Christina [Aguilera], people that I've looked up to," she revealed. "Jay-z would be cool.

Now that America is adjusting to the idea that they failed to vote onetime "American Idol" favorite Pia Toscano through to the next round of competition, it's time to figure out what the lovely balladeer will do next.
MTV News' intrepid "Idol" expert Jim Cantiello was lucky enough to steal a few minutes with Toscano on Monday afternoon (April 11), when he tried to get the scoop on the singer's next move, namely, what's with all the talk about signing with a label?

American Idol is combining the national love of reality TV with digital downloading. Studio versions of songs performed by the top 13 finalists were made available on iTunes following tonight’s episode at 10Pm Pst.
American Idol finalists have already sold millions of songs on iTunes. “That number could well surge once these latest songs are available for download, thanks to the popularity of the Season 10 contestants,” says Simon Fuller, creator and executive producer of “American Idol.” “The Season 10 Top 13 finalists have already got America talking.”

Tonight on “American Idol” the freshly-named “final 13″ started the real competition and they did it by performing a song of their own personal idols. Singing for votes, they got some performance help from some of the biggest names in music – Jimmy Iovine, Ron Fair, Jim Jonsin and Rodney Jerkins to name a few.
The show got off to a lackluster start. Lauren Alaina received an iffy response from the judges with her Shania Twain performance.

Declaring your greatness in a song certainly isn't a new phenomenon, but there are two tracks tearing up the pop world right now that take I'm-the-best braggadocio to an entirely new level in Keri Hilson's "Pretty Girl Rock" and Keyshia Cole's "I Ain't Thru." Hilson's song is basically front-to-back boasting — she constantly comes back to how attractive she is, how badly men want her and how many people are staring at her backside. Those statements might be alienating, but Hilson delivers them with such confidence and sweetness (and the beat — produced by Chuck Harmony — is so funky and sick) that the hooks take center stage. Plus, according to Hilson, it's all about an empowerment that everybody can get behind, not just her own excellence.
But Hilson has a challenger in Cole, whose single "I Ain't Thru" is another rundown of why Cole is such an incredible specimen. The...

While “head judge” Randy Jackson will undoubtedly still separate contestants into the “fire” and the “pitchy,” American Idol execs confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that much will change when the show returns with Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez later this month. While many of the Idol alterations were rumored by the same magazine last month (coincidence?), it’s now official that the Top 24 will likely be reduced to the Top 12 or 15, online voting is in the works, and contestants will no longer have to leave their genre of choice. “We’re not going to ask a country singer to sing an R&B song, or an R&B singer to do Led Zeppelin,” said new contestant mentor Jimmy Iovine. While the contestants will indeed be living in a mansion together, it’s not clear whether American Idol will go full Real World on us as suggested. Other big news: a revamped set (shock!

Now that "I Ain't Thru" failed to chart, Keyshia Cole admits that releasing the Nicki Minaj-assisted track as the first single is indeed a wrong choice. When choosing the song, she defied her label and now she realizes she should have followed their advice.
"The label didn't really want to drop the record because they knew ... that people wanted a more intense, soulful record from me about love and I really should have followed (their) direction," Keisha told Associated Press in a recent interview.
