- Tami Erin began her acting and modeling career at age 8 as an Elite Model with Elite Model Management appearing in many national and international print and commercial campaigns. By the age of 11, Tami auditioned for veteran Director Ken Annakin (Disney Legend, Disney Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient and Academy Award Nominee) for the title role of "Pippi Longstocking" in a worldwide search for Columbia Pictures. A stand-out she landed the role over 8,000 other hopefuls. Tami was chosen for her dynamic talents including acting, singing, gymnastics/tumbling and horseback riding stunts. After an intense production schedule, she found herself on a whirlwind press tour beginning with the Films World Premiere in Tokyo, Japan at which she gave a Pippi Longstocking doll made in her own image to Emperor Hirohito's granddaughter, The Royal Princess Nori. After stops in many European cities, which included an appearance with Sylvester Stallone on De Grand Prix, the tour culminated with the Swedish Royal Premiere where Tami was the honored guest of King Karl and Queen Sylvia.
Domestically she raced through a 13 city tour in a mere 10 days. Highlights included appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Entertainment Tonight and Nickelodeon. Today the legend of Pippi lives on in 18 languages worldwide with the international DVD release in 2000 and the international re-release in 2007 as a double-feature with Danny Devito & Rhea Pearlman's movie Matilda.

Ms. Erin's humanitarian pursuits have revealed her longtime commitment to children worldwide. Her proudest moments are serving as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador an exclusive appointment to the United Nations. Working with the United Nations she has spoken internationally for UNICEF bringing children's health, education and wartime issues to the forefront of debate. Highlights included speaking at the United Nations on World Children's Day to the child delegates of over 100 countries.
