Sky has unveiled the official trailer for the action series ‘Drift – Partners in Crime’, a Sky Original coming to Sky Atlantic and Now in March.
Ken Duken and Fabian Busch lead an incredible cast, playing an unequal pair of brothers and an unexpected detective duo. Ali Zeller (Duken) and Leo Zeller (Busch) find themselves in their exhaustive search for the truth, travelling from the remote valleys of the Bavarian Alps to the narrow street canyons of Athens, to the dry dirt tracks of the Peloponnese.
Ali and Leo could not be more opposite. They rarely agree and think completely differently – despite this, the brothers share their childhood and work side by side. Netflix officially pulled the plug on Fate: The Winx Saga after two seasons earlier this week.
However, the franchise may not be dead yet.
Winx franchise creator Iginio Straffi revealed this week that the Netflix cancellation "is for a bigger reason."
“Fate has been an exciting adventure, a great achievement, and a hit watched by millions globally, re-confirming the power of the Winx world,” Straffi shared on Instagram.
“I am working on many exciting Winx projects in the near future, some of which I take so much joy in sharing with you.”
One of those projects is a "brand new CG Winx animated series reboot," which is set to go into production soon.
The creator promises the show will "sweep you back to the Winx world."
If that wasn't enough Winx goodness, Straffi said that a "big budget Winx movie" is in the works.

According to showrunner Brian Young, the supernatural drama series has been canceled after two seasons.
"This is not fun news to share, but Netflix have decided not to move forward with Season Three of Fate: The Winx Saga," Young said on Instagram.
"This is especially tough because I know how many of you loved this season."
"It's a heartbreaking silver lining, but a silver lining all the same," the statement continues.
"I'm so proud of everyone who worked on the show, and so happy we got to tell the stories we did."
"Our cast and crew put in a ton of hard work creating this world and these characters," Young adds.
"I'm grateful for each and everyone one of them, and for all of you for watching."
"It's been an amazing four years. Hopefully, we'll see each other again in the future.

In the debut season of Professionals, coming October 11 to The CW, things get explosive quickly in this combustible drama after billionaire futurist Peter Swann’s (Brendan Fraser) new medical data satellite blows up at launch. A suspicious Swann hires security operative Vincent Corbo (Smallville’s Tom Welling) to sniff out his enemies. “As Corbo and his team of veteran security professionals investigate the rocket disaster, they expose a lethal conspiracy of Swann’s corporate rivals, corrupt government officials, and a shadowy crime syndicate — all working to destroy Swann and take control of his tech empire,” the official logline teases. “Worse, Corbo must also contend with a rogue Europol agent (Ken Duken) who is hellbent on busting him for past sins.” Here’s why this new CW action series will hit the high-octane mark. Everyone’s a suspect While Corbo and his team are loyal to their employers, allegiances can shift quickly.

Bloom Peters is just about done with restraining herself and her powers — and her friends are more than happy to help her out along the way. In a new trailer for Netflix’s Season 2 of “Fate: The Winx Saga,” the fairies are more powerful — and perhaps more reckless — than ever.
Of course, there are changes happening this season. As the trailer ominously warns: “The old regime is gone. It’s time to embrace the new one.” That new one is led by Headmistress Rosalind, who rules over the school with an iron fist. But apparently, she was also “working on some super mysterious s—.” As a result, fairies from Alfea are starting to go missing.
According to Netflix’s official synopsis for the season, “School’s back in session under the militant authority of Alfea’s former Headmistress Rosalind. With the Burned Ones gone, Dowling ‘disappeared’ and Silva imprisoned for treason,...

No one is quite sure who is responsible, or what their agenda may be, but it triggers this mad scramble covering parts of two continents before the dust settles.

Writer-director Lynn Roth instinctively knows how to pluck the heartstrings with her heartrending historical drama, “Shepherd: The Story of a Jewish Dog.” Her adaptation retains the wit and wisdom found within the pages of Asher Kravitz’s novel “The Jewish Dog,” whose unconventional conceit chronicling the Holocaust through the perspective of a German Shepherd lends itself to plenty of poetic and fantastical realism on screen. Yet the family-friendly feature all too frequently falls into conventional trappings that it unwittingly sets up for itself, particularly when it strays from the pup’s point of view.

This article contains spoilers for Fate: The Winx Saga season 1.
Fate: The Winx Saga is Netflix’s latest foray into magical adolescence and season one is a six-hour introduction to the fairy boarding school Alfea, and the magical Otherworld. The series introduces us to a powerful fairy, Bloom (Abigail Cowen), who was raised in the human world completely unaware of her own magic or the larger magical community. She comes to Alfea to learn to control her power and to discover who she is.
We follow Bloom’s journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment as the requisite “chosen one”, and learn about this magical world through her eyes. As she discovers more about herself, she also uncovers secrets that could threaten Alfea and her safety within it. The season culminates in a coup of sorts, that sees Alfea’s leadership completely upended, which opens the door for really compelling storytelling in a follow-up season.

In the Season 1 finale of Netflix’s “Fate: The Winx Saga,” a live-action adaptation of the Italian cartoon “Winx Club,” fire fairy Bloom (played by Abigail Cowen) goes through a metamorphosis that allows her to defeat the army of Burned Ones threatening her magical boarding school.
Bloom — who thought she was a regular human teen up until a flaming accident at home led to her admission into Alfea — goes into full-on fire fairy mode, fiery wings and all, to shoot out burning blasts at the evil creatures.
It’s in this moment, after our six-episode journey with the “changeling” who was placed with a human family at birth, that viewers learn just how powerful Bloom really is — and when she herself learns, too.

Just in time for Christmas comes the heartwarming story of “Perfume,” which follows a half-dozen friends so obsessed with the possibilities of smell that the death of one of them dredges up some extremely unpleasant things about their pasts.
The new series is based on the 1985 Patrick Süskind novel “Perfume,” which was previously adapted into the 2006 Tom Tykwer film “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer,” starring a pre-Bond Ben Whishaw, Alan Rickman, and Dustin Hoffman. This new TV venture brings the original story into a modern context, rather than the 18th-century French environs of the novel.
In updating the historical story, this six-part season also gets a detective show twist, with a group of investigators looking into the death of a singer. What they find is a group of one-time school friends, at least one of whom stumbled into the practice of using human scents as the basis for making a one-of-a-kind fragrance.

Independent distributor Nfp, fresh off the success of Oscar nominee Toni Erdmann, has picked up German thriller Berlin Falling, the directorial debut of actor Ken Duken, for Germany.
The film, which Duken shot last year, follows a terrorist who hijacks a car and forces the driver to take him to Berlin where, in the middle of Christmas celebrations, he plans to carry out a brutal attack. The plot is frighteningly similar to the real-life attack in Berlin on Dec. 19, when a terrorist hijacked a truck and drove into the crowd at a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people.

Washed up on an unknown shore after being caught in a storm, a band of Vikings manage to find a hostage and cross into enemy lines with thoughts of gold and safe passage. However, they soon find themselves hunted for their prize and a panicked race begins. The losers will pay with their lives.
Northmen is about a group of Vikings, some who have a Viking-y accent, others (like the main man, Asbjorn) who are surprisingly English. Trapped in Scotland (the horror!), they find themselves a Princess they take hostage (she has a Scottish accent, which is handy). Thus begins an epic journey across Scotland (the horror!) to...

Director Stefan Schaefer's "My Last Day Without You," the multi-award winning independent film starring Nicole Beharie and Ken Duken, is now out on DVD (as of today, November 18th), and will be available on Video On Demand next month. The film's synopsis reads as follows: "On a one-day business trip to New York, a German business executive falls in love with a singer-songwriter who exposes him to her Brooklyn world and emotions he's never experienced before." This is a movie that would’ve surely passed me by had I not been an admirer of Nicole Beharie’s acting; but the film is full of delightful surprises. What you might think will be yet another...

Exclusive: Starz has locked up North American rights to the action-adventure pic about a gang of Viking marauders marooned in a hostile land. The deal for Northmen: A Viking Saga covers all platforms in the U.S. and Canada including theatrical, followed by an exclusive premium cable run on Starz networks. Tom Hopper, Ryan Kwanten, Ken Duken, Charlie Murphy, James Norton, Ed Skrein, Anatole Taubman and Johan Hegg star in the pic, which sees the Northmen shipwrecked off the coast of Scotland. They must journey to the safety of the Viking stronghold Danelag — with the Wolf Pack, the king’s ruthless mercenaries, hot on their trail. Bastian Zach and Matthias Bauer wrote Northmen, which was produced by Ralph S. Dietrich. The Salt Company worked the acquisition deal on behalf of Ascot Elite Entertainment Group. A sizzle reel for director Claudio Fäh’s film drew attention at this year’s European Film Market in Berlin.
