Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, which this week opens with a Before the Impact match that saw Sami Callihan & Rich Swann defeat Laredo Kid & Black Taurus. Let’s get into the review…
Match #1: X-Division Championship – Chris Sabin def. Alan Angels The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
After becoming #1 Contender in Ultimate X last week, Alan Angels challenges Chris Sabin for the X-Division Title! Angels targets the left arm of Sabin, as he delivers a double stomp from the top rope. Sabin breaks free of an armbar attempt, but Angels drives him into the top turnbuckle instead. Sabin creates some much-needed separation with an explosive dropkick. Sabin quickens the pace, delivering a series of strikes to Angels. Sabin hits a running boot in the corner but Angels counters the follow-up tornado Ddt. The referee prevents Angels from using the X-Division Title belt as a weapon.

Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s 2023 Victory Road pay-per-view… which is often seen as the build to Impact’s massive Bound For Glory PPV, ending some feuds, starting others and sometimes providing some interesting new angles for Impact programming. This time round we’ve also got the build to the 1000th episode of Impact. So with that, let’s get right to it.
Countdown To Victory Road Match #1: Alan Angels def. Guido Maritato The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:

Yes, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) confirmed he’s had “a bit of both” on his self-titled Disney+ series, but besides the gender-fluid demi-god, the only canonically gay character in the MCU is Bryan Tyree Henry’s Phastos in “Eternals.” Marvel and DC may not have fully embraced queer characters: but a number of actors playing superheroes are absolutely part of the LGBTQ community.
Here’s some openly out thespians who’ve donned a cape — and looked fabulous doing it.
Angelina Jolie, Thena in “Eternals”
Jolie became part of the MCU in this 2021 all-star film as the nearly invincible Thena. She was previously married to Jonny Lee Miller, Billy Bob Thornton and Brad Pitt, but has always been open about dating women as well, as she told Barbara Walters in 2003.
Tessa Thompson, Valkyrie in “Thor: Ragnarok”
Thompson rocked her role of Valkyrie so hard in “Thor: Ragnarok” that the character ended up becoming the King of Asgard.

As the face of Dollywood, some might assume that Dolly Parton has been on every rollercoaster. But she’s taking a hard pass on many of the park’s more than 50 exciting rides, including the latest addition, the Big Bear Mountain rollercoaster. It’s part of a $500 million expansion of the park.
The country music icon sometimes stops to join the festivities, like introducing the new rollercoaster. But she told the crowd she wouldn’t be among the first riders, sharing concerns about potential national embarrassment.

We're still a few months away from the premiere of season 2 of the hit series "Yellowjackets," but there's still plenty to be excited about. Christina Ricci, who stars as the adult version of the criminally (and possibly) insane Misty Quigley, has already said the season will be even more shocking than the first. It's a big claim, especially when you consider the first season was an introduction to a high school soccer team who may or may not have eaten one another in acts of ritualistic sacrifice.
In addition to Ricci, "Yellowjackets" boasts an incredible leading cast including Emmy nominee and Critics Choice Award winner Melanie Lynskey, Oscar and Emmy nominee Juliette Lewis, and "Unforgettable" star Tawny Cypress.
It was previously announced that Lauren Ambrose and Simone Kessell ("Obi-Wan Kenobi") had joined the show as series regulars, in addition to Elijah Wood (He's Elijah Wood) in a guest arc as one of the Citizen Detectives,...

Nicole Maines (“Supergirl”), François Arnaud (“The Borgias”) and Nia Sondaya (“Truth Be Told”) have been added to Showtime’s “Yellowjackets” Season 2 in recurring roles.
They join Emmy nominee and Critics Choice Award winner Melanie Lynskey, Oscar and Emmy nominee Juliette Lewis, Emmy nominee Christina Ricci and Tawny Cypress. Lauren Ambrose and Simone Kessell (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”) have also joined the second season as series regulars, along with Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) in a season-long guest arc.
Sondaya has been tapped to step into the role of Teen Akilah in a recasting, with Keeya King exiting the series.
Sondaya has also been featured in recurring roles on “Bel Air,” “Truth Be Told,” and has also starred as a lead in the short film “Heart Shot.” She is repped by Unified Management and Greene & Associates Talent Agency.

"We find the 3 boxes, we find the treasure." This may not be the sequel we've been waiting for... but it might still be an entertaining series. Disney recently revealed they're now in production on a new streaming series titled National Treasure: Edge of History - a continuation of the beloved National Treasure set of movies from 2004 & 2007. I'm big fans of both - which featured Nicolas Cage as treasure hunter Benjamin Gates. Unfortunately they didn't get Cage back for this, which instantly dulls most of my excitement. This new series instead is told from the point of view of Jess Morales, a twenty-year-old DREAMer who, with her diverse group of friends, sets off on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover her mysterious family history and find lost treasure. Lisette Olivera stars as Jess, with a main cast including Lyndon Smith, Zuri Reed, Jake Austin Walker, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues as Ethan,...
