Jimmy Page rarely let outsiders enter Led Zeppelin’s creative inner circle. The guitarist said he had a split personality in the band, and both kept nonmembers at bay. Partly out of necessity, the Led Zeppelin founder freely collaborated with many notable musicians after the band folded. One unlikely mashup was Page’s single with Diddy, “Come With Me.” The trained musician said the rapper knew nothing about music, but he still praised the rapper’s “fantastic imagination.”

Jimmy Page needed time to find the desire to join a band after Led Zeppelin folded. Drummer John Bonham’s tragic death in 1980 brought a sudden end to the band Page formed in 1968 and guided to worldwide success in the 1970s. The Firm, featuring Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers, was that band. He was the unquestioned boss in Led Zeppelin, but Rodgers told Page to take a back seat on The Firm song “Radioactive.”

Page’s quiet career in right after Led Zeppelin folded — composing the Death Wish II soundtrack and piecing together the posthumous Led Zeppelin album Coda — received a boost in 1983. The guitarist was one of many classic rock icons who joined the Arms (Action into Research for Multiple Sclerosis) benefit concerts.

Jimmy Page cemented his status as a classic rock guitar legend in Led Zeppelin. Years before that, he was just a session musician who realized he needed to quit to satisfy his creative interests. And before that, he was briefly a solo artist who made a record that sounded nothing like Led Zeppelin.

Led Zeppelin proved Page’s greatness as a guitar beyond a measure of doubt. He showed his skills extended beyond the guitar during his stint with the band. The guitarist also produced, engineered, and mixed their records. He typically stuck to guitar, but Page flashed banjo and bass skills in Led Zeppelin.
He did the same on “She Just Satisfies,” a solo song from 1965.

Kelly Clarkson took on Whitesnake’s 1987 hit “Here I Go Again” on Wednesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Backed by her band, the powerhouse singer belted out the English rock group’s single, which topped the Billboard Hot 100, for Kellyoke’s opening segment. “Though I keep searching for an answer/ I never seem to find what I’m looking for/ Oh Lord, I pray you give me strength to carry on/ ‘Cause I know what it means/ To walk along the lonely street of dreams,” Clarkson sang with a punch of vibrato.

It was another double elimination on “The Masked Singer” Wednesday night, and insults flew about. Of course, that’s just because the theme of the night was “Comedy Roast Night,” not because of any real animosity. But in the end, the journey came to a close for Bride and Avocado.
Leading up to the reveals, the judges had a wide range of guesses. Thanks to an exclusive clip provided to TheWrap ahead of the episode, we knew going into things that Robin Thicke suspected Avocado might be “The Santa Clauses” and “Home Improvement” star Tim Allen. But, that’s mostly because he wasn’t sure who else could even fit the clue package.
As the other judges made their guesses, Thicke admitted that he was “having a little trouble” formulating a guess, “because I’m not as…” – but before he could finish his sentence, Ken Jeong supplied the word “smart,...

Earlier: Tawny Kitaen, an actress whose stunning presence in two Whitesnake videos helped propel that band’s multiplatinum albums to No. 1 in the late ’80s, died Friday in Newport Beach at age 59. No cause of death has been determined, according to numerous reports.

Deep Purple’s 21st studio album Whoosh! comes with dire warnings and dry wit, all propelled by one of the tightest still-working bands playing today. The record was produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin, who helped Pink Floyd build The Wall, taught Tim Curry to Read My Lips, and brought suspense to the Alice Cooper discography. For their third collaboration, Ezrin invited Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse, and Don Airey back to Nashville, where Deep Purple recorded 2013’s Now What?! and 2017’s inFinite.

Deep Purple is one of the most influential rock bands of all time. Along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, they completed the “unholy trinity” of 1970s British hard rock sound. The group will release their 21st studio album Whoosh! on June 12. The album reunites the band with legendary producer Bob Ezrin, who worked with the iconic band’s last two albums.
Whoosh! comes four years after Deep Purple’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse, and Don Airey “putting the Deep back in Purple.” They wrote and recorded Whoosh! in Nashville on an invitation from Ezrin, renowned for producing definitive albums for Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, and Tim Curry. The first album they collaborated on was So What?! (2013), which hit Number 1 in five European countries, as hit the Top 10 in over 15 countries worldwide. The second, inFinite (2017), broke chart...

It’s unlikely that Greta Van Fleet singer Josh Kiszka woke up this morning troubled by all the accusations that he’s copy-and-pasted Robert Plant’s vocal style. Or that his bandmates are too fazed by Pitchfork pegging them as Led Zeppelin–aping hacks in a scathing review of their new debut, Anthem of the Peaceful Army. The album debuted in the Top Five, and many of the shows on a world tour supporting the LP have already sold out. Besides, accusations of shameless musical pilfering have long been a rock & roll rite of passage.

At the height of her career in the 80s, actress Tawny Kitaen wanted bigger breasts.

Once a blockbuster staple, the power ballad was the ultimate movie accompaniment. We look back at some of the classics...
For a glorious period from the mid-80s throughout the 90s, the biggest summer blockbusters were only worth their salt if they had an equally gargantuan song at the head their soundtrack. Often the success of one was inexorably linked to the other, with the likes of Four Weddings And A Funeral's feats matched and even exceeded by Wet Wet Wet's accompanying Love Is All Around.
The greatest and most successful songs belong to the power ballad genre, and are as emotionally charged and forceful as the gods of epic balladry such as Journey, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and Meat Loaf. As the 90s became the 00s and the charts became increasingly irrelevant, the movie ballad became almost defunct, with even the song-dominant film soundtrack being...

Yulia Efimova is firing back at competitors who criticized her role in the Russian doping scandal. After receiving a sassy finger wag from American swimmer Lilly King, Efimova was booed by the crowd as she took her place on the podium to collect her silver medal for the 100-meter breaststroke. King, who beat her Russian rival to win gold, was among a number of competitors who have shared their frustration that Efimova, who was banned twice for doping, has been allowed to compete at the Games in Rio at all. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has officially entered principal photography today in Atlanta, Georgia. To celebrate the beginning of production for the highly-anticipated sequel to the hit 2014 McU flick, director James Gunn shared a pic of the film’s new logo (seen above).

As with most projects in Marvel’s oeuvre, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is largely shrouded in secrecy, although most theories point to the plot somewhat centering around the gang discovering the truth behind the identity of Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt) father. It's been 28 years since Whitesnake released their famous single "Here I Go Again" -- and, last night, the song's music video vixen made a very rare public appearance. Tawny Kitaen, the very same woman who did cartwheels on the hood of a classic car in the 1987 video, hit the red carpet in Los Angeles. Still sporting her signature red hair, the former model and ex-wife of Whitesnake frontman David Cloverdale (left) looked great at the premiere of Amazon's new series "Bosch." The 53-year-old was on hand to support Jenica Bergere, an actress in the series who also directed Kitaen in the upcoming film "Come Simi." In the year since dancing around in a sheer white dress in the now-infamous video, Kitean married and divorced Cloverdale, before following suit with pitcher Chuck Finley. Following her 2002 divorce from Finley, Kitaen was arrested for drug possession in 2006 and followed it up with stints...

The ’80s were a time of questionable fashion trends. This is a fact. Though many of the looks ended up being recycled (like neon and ripped jeans), there are some that have no business ever seeing the light of day again. One of the worst? Perms. In every incarnation — be it the poodle perm, the body wave, crimped coifs, hair metal manes, Designing Women helmets — the perm was hilarious at best, criminal at worst (seriously, Whitesnake’s David Coverdale deserves a fine).

The first trailer for the teen horror movie Ouija has arrived online, and you can watch it below. It's kind of surprising that there hasn't been a Ouija board-centric horror movie since 1986's Witchboard, starring Whitesnake music-video model Tawny Kitaen. Sure, the paranormal communication device has popped up in movies since then - its most notable recent appearance in Paranormal Activity - but people have stayed away from it as the crux of a horror movie. Leave it to producers Michael Bay and Jason Blum to change that. Ouija stars Olivia Cooke, Ana Coto, Daren Kagasoff, Bianca A. Santos and a handful of other young, fresh faces as a group of teens who use the titular spirit board to figure out what, or who, killed their friend. We're guessing they...
