- Died of pancreatic cancer a few hours after being awarded $1 million (Australian) for injuries he sustained during stunt work for Mission: Impossible II (2000) that ended his stunt career. The court found the film company liable for his injuries and the award was announced at 10:40 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2007. Connolly passed away at 2:00 p.m. that same day from pancreatic cancer.
