Byron Keith was born on November 17, 1917 in El Paso, Illinois, USA. He was an actor, known for The Stranger (1946), 77 Sunset Strip (1958) and Batman (1966). He was married to Dorothy Bennett and Lois Dorothy Ritter. He died on January 19, 1996 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Played Mayor Linseed in the original Batman television series, appearing in 10 episodes, credited either as Mayor Linseed or simply The Mayor.
Perhaps best remembered as Orson Welles's friend in Welles's film noir The Stranger. Ironically, Byron shares a resemblance to Orson's real life friend and collaborator Joseph Cotten.
