Former Lantern Group MD Niki White has left the agency after seven years to start her own operation, taking several clients and two members of staff with her.
The move comes after the departure of Lantern Group boss Victoria Buchan who left in January to become director of communications and public relations at Nine Network in January. Buchan retained ownership of Lantern after her departure to Nine, but it appears that it will become a slimmed down operation with Buchan’s daughter Louisa Read running operations, particularly unit publicity on Wolverine. It is to close its Fox Studios office.

The new look Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards will still not receive a live TV broadcast.
The awards, which honour excellence in cinema and TV will go out on Nine at 9:30pm, three and a half hours after the ceremony on Tuesday 31 January.
Victoria Buchan, director of communications and public relations, formerly of The Lantern Group who look after the PR for the Australian Academy said: “The awards have been programmed with the network and production people to get the best outcome, the maximum audience. There is an advantage to tidy it up.”
The Aacta International Awards will be held on 27 January in Hollywood, and hosted by Aacta president Geoffrey Rush with Australian expatriates including guy Pearce, and broadcast during the Aacta Awards on 31 January.
