There are so many things that our government, hell, all governments, never tell us. Are aliens real? What was the identity of the third shooter on the grassy knoll? Is my Xbox One's Kinect watching me as I twerk to the Halo soundtrack? We may never know. In any event...
Below you'll find the first trailer and artwork for The Gracefield Incident which was written, produced, edited, and directed by Mathieu Ratthe who also stars. "After 24 months in Saguenay, Quebec, Canada, living in my parents basement, (where my Dad and I built a studio especially for this), I got it done," Ratthe tells us. "The Executives Producers on the film are Bryan Turner, "Priority Records Founder", Pat Brisson, "Head of Hockey at CAA" and Sergei Fedorov, "Ex-NHLer and Future Hall of Famer". They believed in me and without their support, none of this would've been possible."

A new name to watch out for in the independent horror world, one-man-band Matthieu Ratthe has just unveiled his found-footage debut feature The Gracefield Incident in the form of this not-quite-safe-for-work trailer. Ratthe drummed up the financing, wrote, produced, and directed the film, from a studio he built in his parents' basement. Budding indie filmmakers take heart! These things are possible. "If you want something, you can't wait for someone to make it happen for you," Ratthe says.As you'll have seen, the titular incident involves a meteorite strike / UFO crash leading to some creeped-out shenanigans in the woods. Ratthe also stars, in that his is the mostly-offscreen character doing the filming. The perennial found-footage problem of characters shooting in unlikely circumstances is navigated through the use of a nifty eyeball-cam (see also Adam Wingard in V/H/S 2).Resources were obviously limited, but Ratthe looks to have achieved effective results from his micro-scale operation.

Brisson is busiest during the weeks from mid-June to early July that span the draft, the league's free
