Sf Studios has boarded “Maybe Baby,” a high-concept Danish comedy about pregnancy and fertility treatments which is directed by Barbara Topsøe-Rothenborg (“Loving Adults”).
The movie starts shooting this month with Danish actors Mille Dinesen, Katinka Lærke Petersen, Lars Ranthe and Kasper Dalsgaard. Sf Studios is producing with Marcella Dichmann and will handle Nordic distribution.

“Maybe Baby” follows two couples, Cecilie and Andreas and Liv and Malte, who are both in fertility treatment and discover that the clinic has swapped the fertilized eggs, setting off an avalanche of absurd conflicts. The cast is completed by Sara Boberg, Neel Rønholt, Solbjørg Højfeldt, Laura Bro and Thomas Bo Larsen.

Leading Finnish streaming company Elisa Viihde is partnering up with A+E Networks on a new original series, “Next of Kin,” a mystery drama set in the near future.
The eight-part series is scheduled to begin filming this week in Helsinki, Finland, and will be distributed worldwide by A+E Networks. “Next of Kin” will the first original drama to bow on Elisa Viihde Viaplay, the upcoming streaming service that will be jointly launched by Nordic Entertainment Group (Nent Group) and Elisa Viihde this fall.
“Next of Kin” takes place in Helsinki and poses some fundamental questions about humanity. The series follows Liv, who decides to discover what happened to her DNA sample when it was stolen from a biobank, but she unknowingly ends up being pursued.

Cologne, Germany -- “Terribly Happy” from director Henrik Ruben Genz has swept the Danish Bodil Awards, Denmark’s top film honors, taking six of 11 trophies, including best film, at the ceremony in Copenhagen Sunday night.
“Terribly Happy” stars Jakob Cedergren and Lene Maria Christensen and supporting actor Kim Bodnia all picked up Bodil Awards for their performances in the fish-out-of-water drama about a man who takes a job as a village constable in an attempt to escape his past.
Veteran performer Sarah Boberg kept “Terribly Happy” from a clean sweep in the acting categories, winning the best supporting actress prize for her role in Niels Arden Oplev’s “Worlds Apart.”
