Working on the science fiction series Dark Angel brought both Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba their fair share of success, despite some ups and downs. Fox’s show, which starred Alba as super soldier Max Guevara escaping from government agents in a post-apocalyptic Seattle, was created by James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee and premiered in 2000.
During the second season, Ackles joined the show as Max’s fellow supersoldier, Alec McDowell (X5-494). The actors engaged in a lot of fighting during Dark Angel’s action sequences, but Ackles maintained that the tension between them was even greater off-screen.

Peacock is reworking its slate, and it's bad news for fans of YA dramas Vampire Academy and One of Us Is Lying.
Deadline reported Friday night that both series had been canceled after their most recent runs on the streaming service.
Vampire Academy came from Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries) and was expected to be a big hit for the service, but Deadline notes that the numbers didn't justify a second season.
"St. Vladmir's Academy isn't just any boarding school — it's a hidden place where vampire royals are educated and half-human teens train to protect them from the savage 'Strigoi' vampires who would like to see them destroyed," reads the logline for the series.
Vampire Academy stars Daniela Nieves (Snowfall) as Royal Moroi vampire Lissa Dragomir, Sisi Stringer (Mortal Kombat) as Rose's Dhampir Guardian Rose Hathaway, and Kieron Moore (Sex Education) Dhampir Guardian Dimitri Belikov.

Cupcake, the alligator, is the star of the hour. It's too bad we didn't get to spend time with her.
Oh, what an unusual hour The Rookie Season 4 Episode 13 was with Nolan and Chen spending the day going on a quest orchestrated by a troubled teenager and Thorsen bringing some heartbreak with his attachment to Langston.
Of course, we got a badass Timgela team up, too.
Aaron Thorsen remains an underrated character for this series. As the only rookie remaining, you often wonder why he's not utilized more, but when he is, it's always worth watching.
He had a connection to one of the most humorous aspects of the hour and the most heartbreaking. Apparently, his reality series is off to a good start, even though we have not had the chance to witness it.
The addition of his 24/7 assistant made some funny moments. As annoyed as Thorsen was by the guy's presence,...

Aisha Tyler is taking center stage on Criminal Minds.
On Wednesday’s episode, titled “Mirror Image,” Tyler’s character, Dr. Tara Lewis, is targeted by Mr. Scratch, one of the remaining serial killers at large that the Bau team has been chasing. He grabs her attention by kidnapping her brother and sending a man under his spell, Desmond Holt (Alimi Ballard), to play the part of Dr. Lewis’ missing sibling.

The episode, directed by series star Joe Mantegna, is a slight departure from the usual procedural elements that make the CBS crime drama tick. As Tyler explains, exploring Dr. Lewis’ backstory, family history and why she has a vested interest in serial killers was a mandate the writers always intended to delve into.

The Catch was something of a surprise last spring, with a gimmick that pulled you in, but clever writing that kept you going after the series established the somewhat surreal premise.
See our full The Catch Review here
Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos) runs a serious investigative firm, with top-level clients and people working every angle for her, mostly to keep her clients secure from any number of threats. Her life takes an odd turn when her fiancé, Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause) reveals that he’s been pulling a long con on her.
Now a serious game of cat and mouse goes into full swing, and it seems that Alice might be in over her head.
It’s a show that’s as slick as can be, but manages it without having to dumb down the dialog, or rely on goofball dramatic turns that serve no purpose other than to make sure we have goofball drama.

And finally ABC is in the game! The only network not to pick up a new series (and still the only network not to formally renew a single old series) jumped into the pre-upfronts excitement in a major way on Thursday afternoon, picking up six new dramas, several of which sound rather ambitious. Before going into depth, the basics: On Thursday (May 7) afternoon, ABC ordered the Biblical epic "Of Kings and Prophets" and the Shonda Rhimes-produced "The Catch," as well as "Wicked City" (formerly "L.A. Crime"), "The Family" (formerly Untitled Jenna Bans), "Quantico" and the Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project (formerly "Boom"). Let's get to the details, because some of these new shows sound pretty interesting actually... *** "Of Kings and Prophets" comes from creators Adam Cooper & Bill Collage and it is...
