Actor Stacy Keach is back at home in Los Angeles recovering from a mild stroke.
The Mike Hammer star was hospitalised last week after suffering a stroke and he spent six days under observation.
Keach was portraying President Richard Nixon in a tour of hit play Frost/Nixon when he fell ill. It is not known if or when he'll return to the role.
His understudy, Bob Ari, has stepped in to replace Keach.

Stacy Keach's health is apparently taking a beating. The Golden Globe-winning actor was hospitalized yesterday for an undisclosed illness, according to his publicist. "Actor Stacey Keach was hospitalized [Tuesday] morning and is in a Los Angeles hospital in stable condition," spokesman Dick Guttman said in a statement. Further details were not available. The ailment forced the 67-year-old thesp to bow out of Tuesday night's scheduled performance of the touring production of Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon at Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre, for which he's won plaudits as Richard Nixon.
