- Born at 1:55pm-EWT
- Won Broadway's 1973 Tony Award as Best Director (Dramatic) for "That Championship Season." He was also nominated in the same category the same year for Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing." This was the first of only four times in Tony history that a director has had two nominations in the same category in the same year. The others: as Best Director (Play), Mike Nichols in 1977; and as Best Director (Musical), Trevor Nunn in 1987 and Susan Stroman in 2000. Only Nunn, like Antoon, won for one of the two nominations.
