- Was the chief composer and arranger at Radio City Music Hall from 1951 until 1961. From 1963 to 1964, he was the director of music for the CBS radio network. In 1970, Hopkins became director of music for Paramount's television division, working on shows like The Odd Couple, Love American Style, and The Brady Bunch.

- American composer and arranger. He was the son of a clergyman and studied music theory and composition at Oberlin College and Temple University, from where he graduated in 1933. He composed music for films, radio and theatre, as well as two symphonies, chamber music and a jazz ballet.
