Theresa: Isn't everybody
The events depicted in both the book and the movie were inspired by the events surrounding the brutal real-life 1973 murder of twenty-seven year old New York City schoolteacher Roseann Quinn.
When Teresa meets Tony in the bar, she is reading "The Godfather", just as she does in the original novel. He comments that he has seen the movie. Diane Keaton (Teresa) plays the part of Kay in The Godfather. - DirectorGeorge Tillman Jr.StarsDwayne JohnsonBilly Bob ThorntonMaggie GraceAn ex-con gets on a series of apparently unrelated killings. Baphomet's Son: I'm gonna find you and I'm gonna kill you.
Driver: You do what you need to do. But you better be sure, cause that's a long, dark road you're headed down.
George Tillman Jr., who primarily directs dramas, made this film as an homage to action films from the 1970s. Tillman Jr. had no prior experience in directing action films.
Salma Hayek was cast as Cicero, but dropped out a week before filming began due to a scheduling conflict.
The Chevelle that Dwayne Johnson drives in the film is a 1971 or 1972 model (as evidenced by the dual taillights), but the front is from the 1970 model (as evidenced by headlights and grille). Also, although the car is badged with the SS (Super Sport) logo, it is in fact a Malibu edition Chevelle as evidenced by the sweep style dash - SS Chevelles have round gauges. - DirectorMichael WinnerStarsCristina RainesAva GardnerChris SarandonA young woman moves into an apartment in a building which houses a sinister evil."Doomed To Guard The Gates Of Hell Forever!"
There was a bit of controversy surrounding this film upon its release when it was leaked that director Michael Winner used real human oddities for the Dead rising up from hell scene at the film's conclusion.
Academy Award-winner John Williams was originally supposed to score the music. However, when Williams backed out to do a project by George Lucas, Michael Small was later supposed to be a replacement. Small eventually was unable to do the score which led to Golden Globe-nominee Gil Melle, who composed a chilling score which blends the the elements of Williams, Jerry Fielding, and James Horner.
Richard Dreyfuss: Man talking to girl in red sweater as Cristina Raines and Deborah Raffin are walking on the sidewalk. - DirectorGeorge LucasStarsRichard DreyfussRon HowardPaul Le MatA group of teenagers in California's central valley spend one final night after their 1962 high school graduation cruising the strip with their buddies before they pursue their varying goals."Is that you in that beautiful car? Geeze, what a waste of machinery!"
That is his only line in the movie when he delivers it to Charles Martin Smith's 'Terry'! He is the teenage boy riding "shotgun" in the car next to Terry's car while there are going down the strip. This is I believe his official uncredited film debut. I hope IMDB will credit this one bit scene into this great actor's already famous resume. Please check it out on YouTube in the 2:48 trailer for this movie. It starts at :31secs and lasts for a mere 7 seconds! Maybe that's why Tom does not even include it on his resume or the Luca's people just left it in the cutting-room floor! It's just too damn short! lol - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsLeonardo DiCaprioJoseph Gordon-LevittElliot PageA thief who steals corporate secrets through the use of dream-sharing technology is given the inverse task of planting an idea into the mind of a C.E.O., but his tragic past may doom the project and his team to disaster."I'm going to improvise. Listen, there's something you should know about me... about inception. An idea is like a virus, resilient, highly contagious. The smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you."
The first letter of each of the main character's first names - Dom, Robert, Eames, Arthur/Ariadne, Mal, Sato - spell the word DREAMS.
There is a series of numbers that keep appearing, on the front of the train the number is 3502, the taxi number is 2305 and the hotel room number is 5302.
The cast contains a large number of lead actors who started in movies and TV as children: Leonardo DiCaprio first started appearing on TV, including as a regular in Parenthood and Growing Pains, as a young teen; Joseph Gordon-Levitt had his first TV roles at age seven; by age ten, Ellen Page had started as a regular on the series Pit Pony; and while still in kindergarten, Lukas Haas made his film debut in Testament.
At the end of the credits Edith Piaf's "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" plays at normal speed, then slows down to the speed it was at the beginning of the film during Hans Zimmer's score and throughout the movie. Then we see the title stop in the center of the screen as the song ends. The running time of 2 hours 28 min is a reference to the original length of Édith Piaf's song "Non, je ne regrette rien", which lasts (on its first recorded edition) 2 minutes 28 seconds.
The movie title never appears in the beginning of the movie, but appears three times during the end credits. Once at the beginning, again after the main actors and developers, and once more at the very end. There are no opening credits or titles.
