Detectives used cell phone data to help find her body in a shallow grave at the Argos Concrete Company in Cabot, Arkansas, about 20 miles from Scott, Arkansas. The Associated Press reported that Lewis once worked at the concrete company. Carter's family issued a statement, saying, "We are devastated at the loss of our precious Beverly. There is now a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. Mr. Lewis robbed us of an amazing wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her grandkids will never get to the know the magnitude of her greatness."

Construction worker Vinson Filyaw, age 36, deceived and kidnapped Shoaf by wearing a fake police uniform. The teenager was missing for over a week when a text message came through that infused hope into the case. The dark details of Elizabeth's frightening ordeal are detailed by those who were closest to her. Vinson Filyaw died on May 3, 2021, inside the prison at McCormick Correctional Institution. He was 51 years old at the time. The cause of his death is undisclosed.

Queena was talking on her mobile phone with her best friend, Rachel, who heard Queena scream and then the phone connection went dead. Rachel appears on the show and recalls how she summoned a mutual friend, Priscilla, to drive the crime scene near the Bloomingdale Regional Public Library in Hillsborough County near Brandon, Florida to check on Queena. There, Priscilla made a horrifying discovery and called 911. Queena was unconscious and left to die due to a severe head injury. Medical help was summoned, but Queena was left blind and wheelchair-bound. Queena has made some recovery, but is permanently incapacitated and under 24-7 care. Her attacker and rapist, 16-year-old Kendrick Morris, was arrested and found guilty. He was eventually given a life sentence.

Despite an original massive search, nothing was ever found. The team, however, changes history. In the 'Snowy Grouper' site of the Bermuda Triangle, off the coast of Florida, the team spots an aircraft on the bottom of the ocean. Through research, they are able to identify a USAF Stratofreighter (Stratotanker) that was ditched in March 1960. Three men died and eleven men survived the 1960 crash. When one of the survivors, Retired USAF Lt. Joseph Taft, now age 85, heard of the dive, he contacted the team. Team members Mike Barnette and Jason Harris visited the son of the survivor, Marshall Taft, to learn more about his father's harrowing experience.
