- To obtain water rights, bad guy Mark Foster murders the heir to a cattle ranch and puts an imposter in his place.
- Outlaw miners have been stealing ore from Ann Dennis' mine. Hoppy spends much of his time running around in the mine shafts tracking down the crooks.
- Texans Dave Lovell and Coy Barrett sign a truce to stop the feuding between their families. The Barretts migrate from Texas to Goliath, Oklahoma, a boom town on the border of the Cherokee Strip. Coy starts a bank, while his cousin, Ned Strawn, opens a saloon. THe rest of the Barretts, headed by Hawk, establish a hideout in the Strip where they run a gambling house and conceal stolen cattle. Alf Barrett, whom Lovell believes dead, also makes his headquarters in the strip. Lovell receives an appointment as a U. S. Marshal and is assigned to Goliath. Once there, he finds the Barrett clan is operating against the law he is pledged to uphold.
- When the outlaw El Toro saves Hoppy's life, Hoppy agrees to find his missing grandson.
- A gang of outlaws are using force to become possessors of every ranch in the area. Hoppy, of course, is out to stop them.
- Caldwell and Nixon have their men rob the stage and then critcize the Sheriff for not catching the robbers. With her father the Sheriff under pressure, Mary sends for Hoppy who finds the stolen money and sets a trap to bring in the entire gang.

Soon, on the Sweetwater ranch, against a background of Indian uprisings, rustlers, gun-running and bandits, the young bride is torn between loyalty to her husband and a burning love for her returned sweetheart.
