- Although this is a light hearted family friendly series there are a lot of poignant moments and some episodes touch on heavy topics such as death, infertility, premature birth, military deployment, neurodivergency, anticipatory greif and common childhood fears.
- In the Mother's Day episode while putting on a play telling the story of how Bandit and Chili met a balloon representing a pregnant woman's belly pops and Chili has a sad look on her face which implies she may have had a miscarriage.
- In the episode Hammerbarn Chili raises her voice at Bluey after she breaks a lawn gnome. This may startle viewers who are sensitive to yelling or are used to her calm demeanor.
- One episode focuses on Chili struggling with coming to terms with her father's old age and deteriorating health.
