Marcia Wallace in The Simpsons (1989)

Edna Krabappel: Bart's teacher at Springfield Elementary School, the character was retired after Marcia Wallace, who gave her voice, died in real life. The character was confirmed to be dead in Four Regrettings and a Funeral (2013).

Alice Glick: A long time tertiary character, she is best remembered for underpaying Bart for working at her yard or for attempting to sell a candy dish for 99 dollars at the Evergreen terrace yard sale. She was killed in Replaceable You (2011) by a robot seal.

Maude Flanders: The wife of Ned Flanders, she was unfashionably killed in Alone Again, Natura-Diddly (2000) after getting hit by some t-shirts fired from a cannon. Her death was considered tasteless and for many fans it marks the end of the golden era of the show.

Harry Shearer in The Simpsons (1989)

Larry Dalrymple: A regular customer at Moe's who had been around since season 1 with his fellow barfly called Sam, although practically nothing was known about him until he died in Cremains of the Day (2024). After he is found dead at the bar, Homer and his friends realize they don't know anything about him even as he considered them his best friends.
